Our remaining 11 games. We need 7 games (46 wins) to enter the playoffs without having to worry about the records of LAL, UTA or DAL. That number drops as our main rivals also lose games. If we play to form, we should get those wins from these opponents-- Mar 29 MEM Mar 30 LAC Apr 1 ORL W Apr 3 SAC W Apr 5 POR W Apr 6 DEN Apr 9 PHX W Apr 12 MEM W Apr 14 SAC W Apr 15 PHX W Apr 17 LAL http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/playoffodds DMo has to compete if he wants to keep his starting job. One reason why our starting unit starts slow is Chandler is slumping and Lin and DMo are inconsistent.
im sorry to say this but our best PF is ROYCE WHITE !!! we have used 50 power fowrds over past few year -strong rebounder / can box out -big physical post defence - high i.q -unselfish -elite passsing
Dmo takes those shots because he has been hitting them for a few years now well before he was in the league. Several players have gone on to say that he has been hitting them in practice and that his misses have been more a product of him rushing his shot than funky mechanics as you suggest. That's fine that you like Trob, but don't talk about how he's got good mechanics when he has never been a 3 pt shooter and there is no proof otherwise. Don't you think that if he was nailing them in practice he would be standing in the corner waiting for the kick out to help the spacing when he is on the floor?
Clutchfans: Where Rockets players are a complete bust or untradeable superstar based on their last game. Robinson looked good last game and D-Mo did not. There have been games where the opposite has been true as well. Robinson may earn the starting position in the future, but he hasn't done it yet.
Force him, every NBA team has to travel. If he played for the Miami Heat, I'd bet he overcomes his medical condition.
Neither Robinson or Smith can shoot let alone shoot a 3 so it is better to start with Motiejunas. Frankly, once he bulks up, he will be better, although I wish they would run more plays where he actually gets to try to score in the post so that we'd have a means to score outside of just jacking up shots or hoping either Harden, Parsons or Lin can get to the basket or one of our bigs cleaning up a broken play off a miss.
I understand that D-Mo is a stretch 4 but T Rob is more of a traditional PF. But if you asked me I dont see why we dont start the guy on the roster that has a little of both, T Jones!!! Maybe its something we arent seeing so they are throwing him back and forth to the d-league, but this guy should be given a shot from what ive seen.
Bench Lin. Start Bev. I want concrete proof that: 1.) the Rockets are better with Bev than Lin. 2.) Bev is the better player than Lin In fact, I'm hoping Lin gets 0 minutes from now on. Let's see it. My guess if it happens, "iso-Harden" has the ball 80% of the time, Parsons gets 15%, and everybody else gets 5%. And Rockets lose all games. Let's see it.
lol ^ even when us LOFs are being a LOH, the LOHs still cannot leave us alone. No, to be fair, I'm actually really curious. The only way to know if McHale is right, is to do it. If Lin is really really bad, let's not play him anymore, let's play Bev 40 minutes, and Brooks 8 minutes, that's what McHale, HOHs and LOHs want... let's do it. Harden-iso for 35 minutes, Beverley becoming all star by draining every 3 from Harden.... let's goooooo
Hilarious. Mchale goes with bev a handful of games and some Lin fans have a complete meltdown. Lin is the better player. He can be inconsistent but he is still better than bev. Just because the coach goes with the back up a few times does not mean he thinks bev is better. Step back from the ledge and calm the f down.
^Na bro. The kid was getting 20ppg in 3 games before Cavs' game, the next thing you know, he got benched significantly for 3 straight games because he was sloppy in first quarter of Cavs' game. This isn't just "a few times". You don't fix something that ain't broke. Your player was averaging 20ppg and you gonna bench him excessively for 3 straight games?? Way to go. Of course he's gonna average 5-6 ppg in 20mpg. Not even MJ could do **** if Doug Collins had played him 1.5 quarters every game.
