A year ago I made the first installment of this thread. Anyway, I really do feel like we are going to have a decent year. At least a big jump from the passed two years. Lots of young guys. New look. Who's ready from the 31st?? :)

Let's see. The team is gonna suck again and I can't watch the games. So no, not really.

I'm debating whether or not to bother watching the game on ESPN on Sunday, especially when you have the Walking Dead finale and Game of Thrones season premiere.

    Maybe just the first hour.

I hear there's an awesome new display in Home Run Alley and that they landed some BA stud to throw out the first pitch tomorrow night...

I'm excited about the direction the team is going

I'm not excited about the season though, Sunday night is likely the only game i'll be able to watch all year. So no matter how they progress, I will only be able to read about it online and in the paper. So no, that doesn't excite me.

Maybe you should count yourself lucky. I'm paying to see every game. Self-torment at its finest.

I am very excited for Sunday. 162-0 is still possible.

This team is going to be worse than the last two seasons. Lowest payroll, and elite prospects are still in the minors.

If they manage something like a 72-90 season it should already be considered a success, not only do their roster still suck , they just moved to a much tougher division, switching all those Pirates / Cubs game to Angels / Rangers? good luck with that.

I think Castro,Maxwell,Altuve, and Carter are all legit major league starters.

Dominguez and Fernando Martinez both finished last season strong, and have had great springs. Both were at one point top 100 prospects, Martinez was as high as 20,and both are still young, could be guys that developed slowly and are ready to live up to their once lofty expectations.

Pitching staff is likely to suck, but has enough interesting arms to possibly be competent. Harrell had a good year last year. Humber, Norris and Bedard all had ERA's under 3.80 back in 2011, and Peacock was BA #36 prospect heading into last season.

Add the fact that some of our blue chip prospects (Cosart, Singleton, Villar, Springer,Tropeano) are all getting close to houston. The current roster is actually starting to look like the roster we'll have when we become competitive again.

Now i'm an optimistic person and i have Comcast, but i'm excited, not 95-06 excited, but excited nonetheless

All the above and I'm still mad they moved to the AL.

I'm not going to get over it for a long time.

I'll be honest, I barely watched the team play last year when I could watch them on TV. So really, this season won't be very different.

I'll start watching when Singleton and Cosart come up. Other than that no interest in this team.

I'm in the boat that I'm boycotting the Astro's just like the Rockets until they get a deal done so I can watch at home. I'll still go to the local sports bar and catch a few games, but I won't be going to any or buying any merchandise. Not to mention I don't like the whole AL switch either.

Guess I'll try and take my boy to a few Skeeters games. :(

Actually if you want to be fair it would be switching the cards and reds and brewers games for rangers and angels and a's...pirates/cubs would compare with mariners. It is more difficult but it isn't like a cant win situation. Until the past 4-5 years we have consistently been better than those teams

Pumped. Love going to 'stros games with my friends and family. Looking forward to seeing them playing again in orange/blue. I'll be there tomorrow night to see them beat the Rangers.

Since I live in a outside of Texas it was difficult to see any games last season. I'm pretty good at finding feeds online too. I think the move to the AL West might actually help me find more games online. So I'm a little excited about that. I think we will be better than we have been the last 2 years but not by much.
