Got I totally hate Battlefield, Modern Warfare and CoD. They bring nothing new to gameplay and storyline. Same **** over and over again with just new graphics and engine. Are these guys afraid to bring the game into the future settings or even taking place in a whole new planet/world with some great story telling like Mass Effect?
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Mass Effect is at its best when it's NOT doing serious story telling, when you and your bros Garrus and Wrex are shooting **** and chilling. When it gets to the whole Reaper stuff, it gets a lot weaker, and the weaknesses in its foundation in storytelling ended up creating the Star Brat.
I can't wait to play this. I play battlefield 3 on xbox live on servers were everybody is required to have a mic and needs to communicate as a team. I am just visualizing all the intense moments we will have on multiplayer communicating as a team. The only downside is on current consoles you could only play 12 vs 12. How many players will be able to join online in next gen consoles? Anything less than the current pc battlefield 3 64 player online multiplayer will be dissapointing.
ME1 was fine with its storytelling IMO. ME2 and (mostly) ME3 is what ruined it. The gameplay got better with each game, but I still pick ME1 over the the other 2 games. There was some rumor that was saying the next Xbox and PS4 versions of the game would support 64 players IIRC. At one point, it seems like the rumors was legit (there were other things detailed, and for some reason people said it must have been true), but I think there has been some doubt cast about that rumor since this reveal.
BF is not meant to be futuristic. I HATED the one they tried to do....what was...2142 or something like that. POS game. Love the BF series. Wish they'd give real homage to Vietnam though. That DLC was lame....I loved the old BF Vietnam game.
BF is fine with current setting IMO, but only if it stays as MP. They've been trying to make it have a strong SP campaign, but that setting (and what they've done with it) doesn't really lead to great campaigns, especially since there are so many games like it (with new games every year or every other year). It could work, but with other talented teams doing the same thing, it is really hard to stand out. If you can create your own universe, own rules, etc., you can innovate more with your gameplay. As mentioned, BF4 SP just looks like more of the same (it isn't the only game that suffers from this though...and at least it is really pretty). It isn't as pretty, but the SP look at MGSV was much more interesting (and better produced/edited) than BF4.
I truly wish I had a specific number for every time you have stated you didn't like or hated something. I'm pretty sure if you started a thread and listed all the things in the world you liked it would be one short a** thread.

I know you cant tell tone in written text but im just wanting to have a discussing not to fan boy rage on you about bf3. I was actually talking to my friend who loves FPS about this same topic. My response was "Well what do you want then to do?". Like really what innovation could they add to the fps genre? 3d or something like that? I would like the dudes to do things like REALLY sprint when getting shot at or speeding up reload times when getting shot at as well. But as far as really innovating im not sure what they could really add. I guess if i did know i would be rich lol IMHO snipers kill games like these, i feel that there are lots of crappy snipers out there and all they do is camp. It bogs down game play because you cant freely run around the map cause these guys are just watching one point of the map. I do see why they are in games but i would tone them down even more and people would have to be skillfully to get kills. I like bf better than cod but the latter does a much better job of keeping the game slots full. That makes a HUGE difference. I hate when your in a huge map playing 7 v 3. Also they need to shrink the maps for ps3/xbox. Cant have those huge maps and do 12 v 12. I loved the old bf modern combat on ps2. It was a pretty solid game. I would like them to go back to that system of player level. It was total score, points per hour over 5 hours and medals. You earned medals by completing challenges like ten kills in a row or 15 kills in a secondary position in a tank in one round w/o dying. Any scrub can gain points and level up given time. Im probably just going to buy this on pc because well its just better on pc and it seems that they built the game for pc with no apologizes.
That means they built a better game.... catering towards current gen consoles = dumbing down of game.
skipped out on BF 3, last one I had was bad compay 2. Might pick this up when it comes out. Nice change of pace from COD
I bumped into a random article about why BF4 won't have playable female soldiers and the company's answer was downright hilarious and lame at the same time.
