So basically that still now, we're not quite sure who or what "grunge" is

We have a Nirvana vs Smashing Pumpkins thread. But Pumpkins arent considered grunge.

Bands like Creed and Puddle of Mudd literally practiced in front of a mirror everyday doing whatever they could to look and sound like Pearl Jam and Nirvana. Not grunge.

Is Neil Young even truly the "Godfather of Grunge"? Nobody knows. Maybe wearing "flannel" and/or Doc Martens was grunge.
