Mocking me or not, let me tell you many of the Chinese traditions/cultures have scientific bases behind them. For example, in Chinese Feng Shui, it is bad luck to build a house on the outside bend of the river. Understand geology, you know river washes out the outside bend and deposits sediments on the inside bend. Your house will eventually be washed out if it is built on the outside. Being patted on the head is like being treated like a child. Comparing to adults, a child is psychologically weak, passive, no confidence…..same familiar words being used on Lin. Action affects psychology.
