I love me some Seattle. I have never been to Safeco but plan on doing so this season.

I always thought safeco was nice. The roof isn't exactly all the way enclosed. It sure beats the hell out of the kingdome

Plus, getting out of that stadium is brew-tool. I haven't been in many years; perhaps they've gotten better. But I can remember loooooooong waits because they literally had, like, half the parking diverted to a single-line exit. Also: Dallas sucks.

The Arlington Rangers are the closest baseball team Dallas has though. :)

This article is tongue-in-cheek. Not sure why all the fuss? I don't care for the Rangers ballpark because of its location (and that same reason could be applied to the Angels and A's as well).

Perhaps if location was used as the primary reasoning for this article, people would be less defensive.

I do understand that "location" of these stadiums (particularly Anaheim and Arlington) is great and convenient for those with cars, but it's definitely a step down in terms of enjoying the proximate entertainment associated with the NL Central stadiums (if many Astros fans managed to take advantage of a nice summer road trip). I also don't like Dallas, being so incredibly faux-everything...and having their faux-retro ballpark next to a spaceship of a football stageum just adds to it.

And now, realistically, which Astros fan (however man of them remain) will go on a road trip out west when St. Louis and Chicago were more accessible to the "geographic" fan base?

Uuugh the AL West...by far the most irrelevant division in the game. Always has been. How terribly pathetic.

Safeco is a solid field... has some quality food inside as well.
