WTF? OP, are you r****ded? Do you know what dynasty means? This guy should just be banned from ever posting, much less making threads.
"The New King James" "Odds on winning title this year?" "Are the Rockets the best team in NBA history?"
Holy ****. I thought this was a Rockets fan board. I can't believe I've been lurking and posting here for months under that mistaken impression.
Seriously. I was making the comparisons for fun. Its fun to think they may become a dynasty and eventually reach it. They have the potential and Morey will probably add even more pieces next year. Granted its probably a pipe dream. But given the circumstances surrounding the team this year what they have achieved is nothing short of amazing. The cynicism and negativity is amazing. I kinda get why they are so many posts tearing players down now.
Whatever. A win is a win. I hope the there is not a huge turnover this Summer. With it looks like White losing his spot the Rockets will have an open spot.
The spurs do this every year, good record and all and show nothing at the play offs. Best team? Pffft.
Spurs do this every year because they are the most consistent team. How many rings they have out of these past 13 playoffs? That's right 4. That's more than 30% of odds. I'll take that any day.
Terrible thread. Let's make the playoffs first before talking about a potential dynasty. After you make the playoffs, you then need to win a playoff series. After you win a playoff series, you have to get to the finals. After you make it to the finals, you have to win the championship. After you win the championship you have to win it again. After you repeat you have to win it again. One regular season win versus the Spurs where we barely eeked it out and being a few games above .500 does not warrant visions of a dynasty. No team in the NBA should really be talking dynasty right now although the Heat will be able to if they win it again this year.
The Asik-Duncan comparison really is what pushed this thread over the top in my opinion... 5 Stars no question.
Steps to becoming an NBA dynasty: Step 1: Beat the Spurs in the regular season on your home court. Step 2: You're a dynasty.
Guys, the Wizards beat OKC, Miami, Nuggets twice, Clippers, and Knicks. Half of those wins were without Wall too. They must be forming a nice dynasty over there.
