Both the rookie PF's are raw and talented. In addition they have different strengths. As of now, Dmo is better offensively and shooting wise, while Trob is better defensively and rebounding.

In the playoffs (Knock on wood), which PF as a complement to the rest of the starting lineup would be a better fit to start the game?

    Dmo the catch-n-shoot/post up guy?
    Trob the rebounder/defensive presence?

I think it depends on the matchup, but either way, the 4 spot is going to be our weakest position regardless of the opponent.

I figure McHale will go with DMo because he has been starting anyway. That's the predictable answer, and yes, McHale is predictable. :)

If we play Memphis with ZBo and Marc, I think Greg Smith should get a shot at starting, just in terms of his strength.

If DMO can hit the corner three and rebound, it has to be him. If T-Rob had a jumper, he would be starting.

    Let T-Rob play backup C.

The guy who can shoot threes. This isn't difficult, y'all. McHale has required three point shooting out of the 4 spot all season long and it's been pretty paramount to our offensive strategy.

D-Mo improved in defense and I see him playing in play-offs as a starter, atleast this year. :)

d-mo is going to have a good playoff series. he has the cockiness to elevate his game when it matters.

    we'll see, though

IMO... it doesn't matter. This season is all about getting ready for next season. Getting into the playoffs is a big plus, and gaining valuable experience playing playoff ball is a huge benefit. I'd continue to start Donuts, but make sure TRob is getting valuable PT experience. Then worry about who starts at PF next year... next year.

I'd say Motiejunas mainly because the team prefers their PFs to take 3s rather then work inside. Which is a shame because it looks like both Motiejunas and Robinson have potential to be good scoring near the basket.

97% of the NBA is cocky and there is a margin of 3% error in that estimate.

Cockiness isn't a bad thing if you put in the work, from all indications Motiejunas and Robinson are putting in the work.
