    here's an original thought:

people shouldn't be insulting others on the board for being juvenile or not having a life.

everyone who posts on this board is lacking an interesting life to some degree, otherwise they wouldn't be spending time on it. whether they are sick, lonely, bored, unhappy with marriage or otherwise, obviously time could be much better spent doing other things.

so enough of the superiority complexes. everyone is a loser. the truth hurts.

at least the kids here have some leeway with the name-calling and sarcasm. the adults here should feel really ashamed about posting insults and so forth and attacking people over the computer--i don't think i have to explain why.

    HILARIOUS! :D :D :D

The old "...get a life, loser..." & "...don't pick on the kids..." defenses in one post! Classic! :D :D

Once again Yao-fans, barring the dramatic and unexpected, Yao is (your opinions) "doomed" to spend all of "eternity" in a Rockets uniform. HIP HIP HOORAY!!

    So wipe those tears away!

    Turn that frown upside down!

And root for the TEAM for a change. They could really use the support & good wishes right now.

interestingly, you assumed i was talking about your posts...

incidentally, i was referring to the abundance of name calling and sarcastic baiting from the majority of posters. i mean, this is an internet forum. if you don't like what is being posted, simply ignore it as you would in real life. attacking or insulting people over the internet is embarrassing to read.

it has nothing to do with rooting for yao ming, steve francis, or otherwise. it has to do with the disease known as "keyboard gangsterism".

    :D

Part of the blame may lie with the way the commish has marketed the Association for the last 15 or more years. It isn't the Rox, it's Hakeem and Clyde and Charles. It isn't the Bulls, it's Michael. The Knicks? It's Patrick. It started with Magic and Bird, not Lakers and Celts.

Me? I root for the Rox. I follow players all over, for example keeping up with Sammy and Horry, but I root for the Rox. (I follow Pip, too, looking for all his flaws and having my stomach turn when he is deemed positively.)

I don't buy the gear of the championship team -- unless it is 1994 or 1995.

I am glad Yao represents so well. Stevie does, too. It would have been hard rooting for Rodman or rooting for Artest, for example, but if they helped the Rox win I could try to blind myself.

    gsd99rhc, point taken.

I don't now about "keyboard gangsterism", but there's definitely a lot of "keyboard courage", similar to "phone courage", in the world. :D

    The stupidity of this post.

Yao successfull despite Rockets failure= Yao is good
Steve successfull despite Rockets failure= Steve is bad

Yet, you claim you are not a Yao only fan. "The stupidity of the team reflected by Yao's success" I think I have a new signature.

I don't think it's up to Yao to make this decision. People who make money from him and for him will decide where he goes.

Don't insult this post just because it asks a simple objective question. You can address whatever other replies are on this thread, but saying this post is stupid or whatever is pure idiocy. Don't shoot the messenger just because you don't like the message. I think most people on this board have voted a resounding YES Yao will leave the rockets when his contract is up. For those of you who don't like that result, DEAL WITH IT.

this is for all of you pathetic Rocket Fans, Yao Ming will be gone after 3 years and he'll be wearing purple and gold. He'll be carrying my Lakers (along with Kobe of course) to some more rings. The rockets suck and so do their fans

Yao will stay and make a lot of money with the max (a la Franchise)...

Although I think he'll be able to make more after his second contract and then he'll leave...

Your a total *** and shouldn't be clogging up this thread...

The Fakers suck and so do you...

Shaq and Kobe will be no more after a couple of years and then you'll be on the bandwagon...
