Forget statistics. Wade has one of the most unstoppable moves ever, where even when you know what's coming there's still nothing you can do to stop it. He was one of those the NBA had to actually legislate out of the game with rule changes. It sounds simple, but harder said than done, & wade was the only one who could do it consistently- running full speed down the court with the ball, finding a defender to put his body into, then going airborne & making contact while still moving in the general direction of the goal. Sometimes it even resulted in an and-1. And he's always a good ft shooter.

But wade's just too quick, defenders have no chance of dodging him. Too strong & tough too, so the collisions not only don't hurt wade, but his defenders are discouraged from getting near his launch point again. But it's illegal now, just like they quit letting shaq use his natural range of motion with the ball, or wilt dunk his ft's or w/e he did that was awesome.

IDK but that's why I put him Tier 1 with anyone else. Shaq, jordan, hakeem etc.

    :p

Top 10? He'll probably go down as the third best SG of all time...

(Just remember if James Harden ever brings a title to htown, we cant be talking about the "ref advantage".)

I remember when Wade was the "anti-Kobe", he was a more "aw shucks" likable player and not mr like mr raper. That sure went away after he won a title and set a record for favorable whistles, then increasingly showing that almost all stars are arrogant in some way.

As good as kobes stats have been, theyd probably be even more ridiculous without having shaq (at the cost of a few titles). Would put him 3rd behind mj and kobe all time, jerry west 4th.

He's a top 25 player, somewhere around the level of Isiah.

You know you have no clue what your talking about when you put Mitch Richmond over Wade. Wouldn't even put Drexler over him either. Wade won a ring as the man in a dominant fashion. Drexler did it as second fiddle to Hakeem not to mention Wade will keep winning rings with Lebron as the second fiddle.

It depends on how you look at the stats. On a per-minute basis, all the player metrics I'm aware of put Wade over Kobe. But I think Kobe's durability and longevity compared to Wade counts for something as well. So if you look at win shares per season, Kobe is ahead of Wade.

Kobe has also had more seasons where he led his team on a deep playoff run as the number 1 guy. After his rookie year in which he was good by not quite yet a star, Wade never got out of the first round without Shaq or LeBron by his side. When I look at the big picture of how great a player was over his career, I have to factor in things like that.

I'm sorry but there's no discussion to be made here. Kobe and Wade are pretty much the same age, Kobe's 34 and Wade's 31. Think about that, Kobe was battling Iverson, Carter and Tmac as one of the NBA's best guards while Wade playing around in high school and college. 10 years later, Kobe's battling LBJ, KD, DH and CP3 for the best player in the league while Dwade's already fallen off the map.

Saying Wade's better simply because he has a higher PER is ridiculous, Kobe has more hardware, has more awards and has taken his team further than Wade has. The only SG better than Kobe is MJ.

Damn, there are some serious Kobe haters up in here. Wade is a great player, and top 5 SG of all time, but if you can't see how and why the gap between Kobe and Wade is relatively large, then I dont know wtf to say =/

    Im talkin about pure TALENT.

Mitch Richmond would **** all over Wade in todays NBA. Wade is a one trick pony who gets bailed out by the REFS to get his.

Mitch Richmond could shoot from the weight room and make it more than Wade could hit it from 12 feet out. When I rank players I dont give a DAMN about rings...rings dont matter to judging TALENT.

If you wanna go with hardware over talent, then Madonna is greater than Whitney Houston but no one in their right mind will ever say that.

It takes so much talent to bulldoze in to the lane and get a superstar foul. The REFS were just as responsible for that title win as Wade was.

whoa there... let's not do this to Harden. The guy is 23, he shouldn't be compared to accomplished 31 year olds just quite yet. He has, as a number 1 option, never even led his team into the playoffs yet.

The changing of the guard can only occur based on merit, aka., rings and titles. Don't believe me, ask Jordan.

There would be multiple SGs i'd take after Wade before i get to Mitch Richmond, whether it's based on talent or achievements or some combination.

    Surely you JEST.

Jordan himself said Richmond was the toughest player he had to play against.

MR GOAT probably would laugh at Wade if they were to play against one another, not respect him. All he gotta do is defend his drive and Wade is toast.
