While I don't consider Lin or Harden bad ballhandlers, the numbers don't tell the whole story. Harden has the ball more, and sees the top defenders and double teams way more than Lin.
Fair enough. But there are also a lot of times where Harden runs into traffic trying to draw contact doesn't get the call & throws it away. But I agree neither are bad ball handlers & I don't mind there turnovers because I love there aggressive attacking style. If you compare Lin to last season 52 ball handling TO's over a 35 game sample vs this year 65 ball handling TO's over a 68 game sample. Point is Random fan was talking nonsense. http://www.82games.com/1112/11NYK3.HTM
Nash's role this year parallels Lin's. Went from running the offense off the pnr to deferring to a superstar 2 and having his usage rate drop. Stats are similar too.
Harden has also played 334 more minutes, which is about 10 more games worth of minutes at Lin's 32.5 mpg.
I hear you. Based on PER numbers, Lin is average starting PG on offense. But by watching games, he is way above average PG in terms of defense. Put them together, Lin's already above average now. That's reality.
Lin would be the laughingstock of the sports world were it not for Harden. And you guys would still spin it and blame the coaches and the other players. BTW, Harden's an infinitely better defender than Lin. It's not close. And Harden isn't even a good defender.
LOL. When Linsanity happened, Harden was still riding on the bench. Not to diss Harden, he is the best player on this team and his offense is elite, but you really need to watch at least one Rockets game before you open up your mouth.
You mean the year he won 6th man of the year? The year he was already considered Top 3 at his position without having started a single game? You've gotta be Asian.
Absurdly stupid considering how much more Harden has the ball. That's like saying Scott Machado must be a better ballhandler than Chris Paul since he has less ballhandling turnovers. If you really wanna use 82games for something, use the on-court/off-court ratings that says the team is always better when Lin isn't on the court.
Lin fans calling people trolls. ROFL. And lol at people thinking I'm another person just cause I have an opinion that's opposite of their own delusional opinions. You guys are absolutely pathetic.
So true, you speak the truth. And I'm positive that you are not a fake troll account so whoever accused you of such a dumb Asian lie is truly pathetic. Got your back, bro. Go get em.
I don't understand why many people always compare Harden with Lin, both to praise or to bash Lin. It's more appropriate to compare Lin with other PGs in similar development stage in the league (history). After all, the OP is motivated by Lin's potential based on watching his game actions over the season. So, Lin's stats makes him an avg. starting PG right now. Fine. But how about Nash or Parker's ranking back when they were Lin's experience stage?
