Houston also has a major problem with human trafficking and this would no doubt increase with casinos in town.
Weather here is almost EXACTLY like it is in Orlando. I've never been to another city whose climate was more like Houston's than Orlando's is. My thought on the question in the OP is....it depends on the extent of the theme park. If we're talking about a Disney investment, then you're talking about something transformative for an area. If you're talking about a Six Flags type park, I'd rather have a casino district.
Agreed. If we are going to bring casinos let's do it Vegas style. Build a mini strip designated for gambling activities to incentivize all growth in one area. It can be done right if its centrally planned.
