CATO: Can he be the next OTIS THORPE

    Totally agree with you,with the help of Cato's rebond ,Yao can easily shoot because his high percentage shooting.

    a player can be put on it just as quickly as he could be taken off. JC is not hurt. It's one of those nonsense injuries. Just so he can give his spot to another player.

    Thorpe is a potent offensive weapon.in his time.....Cato simply isnt...

    "Never" is a bit of an exaggeration. "Rarely" would be a far more appropriate word. :rolleyes:

    Steve and Moochie throw alley oops to Cato a lot; that's true. But most of those come from dribble penetration, where Cato comes from the weakside after his man leaves him for help defense. On the pick and roll, most of the time they both hold the ball too long allowing the defenders sufficient time to recover or switch. The rarely pass to the roller.

    Thorpe could in fact hit a 15 foot jump shot when he wanted too. This helped a lot with spacing since Hakeem would set up in the lost post for much of the game. Of course, I'll agree that 90% of Thorpe's offense came from offensive put-backs and dunks.
