Watching the local Kings game here, man Tony Douglas is having a great f'n game completely took over the 4th quarter. I miss this guy and his defensive pressure as well. I know others have been clamoring over PPAT but he might have been the guy I that i miss more than PPAT. The announcers are now yapping about how great of a trade it was for the Kings. Anyways just thought i'd share....
Judging by their most recent games, Thomas Robinson has been the 5th best player in the HOU/SAC trade. Pat, Toney, Cole, Cicso all more productive than Robinson.
He also had the assists to go with the points. I had to look twice at the final score. then again, i think the rockets can easily beat the clippers if butler and billups didn't go bezerk shooting 20% higher against us than what they usually shoot.
Toney had a great game and PPat had a solid one tonight. But man, Cousins is such a head case. He is just so hard to watch.
Toney Douglas scored 6 points in a 46 second span to put the game out of reach late in the 4th qtr. Patrick Beverley scored 6 points during his last 95 minutes on the court over 6 games, going 2-19 during that time.
All the outgoing players are on contract year, and they are sopposed to be better players for now. Surprised they didn't underperform!
Yeah, the guy can be deadly if he's allowed to pick up his dribble at the 3 line or spot up. Instead guys like D'Antoni force him to playmake off the pick and roll and bench him for half a season because he can't do it.
Toney destroyed Chris Paul. Chris Paul: 2-10 from the field, 11 points, 7 turnovers Toney Douglas: 6-10 from the field, 19 points, 7 assists (off the bench) Chris was so frustrated, he shoved Toney in the back!
I watched the game on TV too and noticed in particular how much poise Douglas and PPat had in comparisan to the other Kings, and this probably was why they got extended minutes in the fourth quarter. These guys are vets, and are the kind of players a team needs down the stretch and into the playoffs. The Rox could really use bench players like this right now instead of relying on rookies who are so-called "high ceilling" guys, but won't hit that ceiling until maybe 2017 or whenever. Even Aldrich has been playing well with the Kings--he looks more comfortable. Ppat is unconscous with that jumpshot. Has anyone noticed how Garcia has really done nothing yet for the Rox? I think he had one decent game and that was it. So far...Sacramento wins the trade.
I remember when some people said they should have kept Shaun Livingston instead of him during camp. Ha.
We should've kept Shaun Livingston instead of Scott Machado, who can't even get D-League minutes off the bench.
It's because people won't give Robinson a chance. They want him to instantly be at least on Patterson's level. I'm not saying he's played good so far, but it's not like the dude has peaked or anything. He'll get better down the line.
Our lack of defense at those spots had nothing to do with them shooting better than normal against us? In fact, the Rockets could easily win many more games if they just did't let every SF and SG shoot better than they usually shoot, just saying.
