Never said that Shane didn't contribute or didn't help during the streak. He is valuable, Honestly, though not one GM or coach will choose Shane over LeBron or Wade.
There wouldn't be any winning streak without the stars.

Another point to remember is that the Rockets did not get to the 2nd round of the playoffs until Ron Artest joined the team. The reason why I am pointing this to you is to emphasize the importance of a secondary star. Shane is important, but Wade won a NBA Championship without him.

That's because Wade had Shaq. Now that Shaq is gone, he needs Shane. Quit hating on Shane and accept that the man is studly streaker extraordinaire.

I don't hate him. I feel he isn't as important as Lebron and Wade. Shaq was a decoy and could hardly do anything when Wade won.

It really is a great accomplishment, for any player. I know people like to point out houston lost in the playoffs that year, but it just shows how hard this is. It took this kind of team to duplicate it.

Rudy Gay will show the world that he is at Shane Battier's level.

!! Fun fact .. exactly 5 years ago today on March 18th.. the Rockets had their 22 game win streak snapped by the Celtics.

Hopefully history repeats itself although not likely 

Battier earned this. That last play, if any other Rockets defender guarding Green, it's either a foul or an easy layup by Green. :(

Is Battier the greatest role player ever? Serious question at this point from my perspective.

I think Robert Horry deserves that title more than Shane
