She got stupid drunk and paid the price.

The 'boys' got off easy, 1 and 2 years? Sickening... They deserve to be castrated.

The 'adults' who tried to cover this up, they need to be punished too.

    WTF...

I have seen plenty of people passed out, drunk and never been raped or assaulted.

Are you Taliban? That's about the only people on Earth who would have this line of logic.

" Oh Look, They Are Passed Out Drunk! It's Perfectly Fine To Go Rape Them!"

You have no argument. You believe people that pass out drunk are committing a crime, or doing something wrong.

You seriously have mental issues. Might want to go get that checked out bro..

I'm perfectly fine thanks for your concern.

I feel sorry for your daughter with you in her ear encouraging her to get wasted to the point of no memory.

I feel sorry for your daughter when you tell her it's perfectly ok to assault people when they are drunk and passed out. Because they are doing wrong...

I've got to agree, this is getting slightly out of hand. The amount of blame being put on a rape victim is slightly disturbing.:(

    This.

Its kind of disgusting to see those pigs only get 2 yrs for what they did.

When it comes to the girl, what happened to her was horrible and disgusting but its not like she was alligned well with the law which is in place for preventing crap like this.

16 year old kids aren't responsible enough to be heavy drinkers. Older people **** up all the time, a 16 year old with unlimited alcohol is just a bad story waiting to happen.

If someone doped up on Heroin I'm pretty sure someone would say something, but consuming that much alcohol gets you somewhere near that range in terms of a CNS depressant. The taboo with Heroin of course being its addiction potential amongst other things but you can't put yourself in a position of being completely brain dead when someone of your age isn't capable of making rational decisions even when sober.

Sorry I was at the game, what did I miss?

They are trying them as adolescents and thus only getting two years? More evidence that our justice system is awful at, well, justice

wow. have only read some bizarre comments on this page alone and I won't waste my time seeing how that one got started. only heard about how one of the kids cried and said how is life is over. 1 and 2 years? register as sex offenders?

memo to eastern ohio/ western pennsylvania- you care more about your football programs then the victims of rape, and that is pathetic.

It seems that its not that she's getting blame, but that choices she made led to what happened. Deny it all you want, but if you really think had she only had one beer instead of 10 and a fifth of Jack that the night would have ended the same way, then I don't know what else to tell you.

No its not her fault for getting raped, yes it is her fault she was comatose. Would she had made the same choices (leaving her friends, going with the boys) had she not been slamma jammaed? Who knows, but I would say probably not

Point is, she is not without fault although nobody is 'blaming' her.

Definitely she didn't deserve it. But she wasn't faultless. However there is a lesson to be learned from this. Every action you take has a consequence. In this case she chose to get hella drunk.

In this case the consequence was more than she deserved, and it was a costly mistake but hopefully others can learn from it.

I hope those guys learn from it as well when they're behind bars.

Sad that they are going to serve their time in the juvenile system instead of prison.
