wasn't he a 1st round pick ? I'm shocked he isn't at least splitting time with elliot ? ------------------ "I know how hard it is to put food on your family." George W. Bush
He had at least one very good game as a starter... what´s his height? ------------------ "I have posted so much that what I say must be true"
if people think that Boseman can help this team out and maybe stick, i definately say give CC a shot. Sometimes you just have to have guys who know how to win, and expect to win on your squad. ------------------
CC's 6'5. and he's on his way to atlanta to try out with the hawks. ------------------ Essentially the top two players to come out of college the last couple of years are Duncan, Carter, and Francis. - vince
He's about 6'5 his j is decent but not great. He kinda reminds me of a poor mans Kendal Gill with his size, talent, and nice defense. But he was the 41st pick (as was Mobley) so had no gaurantees. He doesn't have the talent of most players or overall upside, but is a similiar player with great discipline in his game to his former Duke teammate Shane Battier who will have a great senior year ala K-Mart. Overall I don't see us needing him because we should save our 2nd round experiments to getting Langhi some minutes at the 3 where there is concievably a need unlike the 2 which I think is pretty full-up. ------------------ ***Elie... we don't need no stinkin Elie Mobley's takin over ROCKETS IN 2000 BABY***
"He reminds me of Shandon when he was a rookie." I agree with that assessment. The reason Carawell got drafted in the second round is b/c of height reasons as teams feel he is a tweener. This is the same thing that was said about Anderson coming out of college. Chris Carawell is a player that could play SF against some of the 3s in the NBA but not all. Strictly looking at his height 6-6, would make him appear undersized, but he does have long arms and plays intense defense much like Anderson. The reason I like Carawell as a player is that he plays a solid all around game, shoots well, handles the ball and passes well. Carawell moves well w/o the ball much like Shandon and plays hard nosed defense. If the Rockets were to sign him for a yr, it would not be a bad move, though I doubt they will since it appears Walt Williams, Matt Bullard and Dan Langhi will get the mins at the 3 spot. ------------------ Check out the Best Source for Draft Info Draftsource.net
Way too undersized to play SF on a regular basis. And we can´t forget that Shandon plays a lot of his minutes at the 3 spot too. Between Walt, Bull and Shandon, not even mentioning Langhi, we have no room for another SF type. I guess we´ll only solve our SF situation in next year´s draft. By then Bull will have retired and hopefully Walt be traded. Shandon should split those minutes with a defensive minded SF and that´s it. One without any height shortcomings, i hope. ------------------ "I have posted so much that what I say must be true"
Traj, what about Battier ? One problem I have with Shane is that he doesn't seem very athletic. Someon prove me wrong. I'll take Morris from UM instead. Matt, I like the Gill comparison and you're right, he's not as talented. I question CC's athleticism in this league. I don't remember him being a McGrady-type athlete, which I guess is his problem. ------------------ "I know how hard it is to put food on your family." George W. Bush
I say we sign him because this guy can play D and has a decent jumper. What do you think? He reminds me of Shandon when he was a rookie.
Too bad we don't have room on our roster. ------------------ "Oh No..." -Bill Walton in 97 just before Stockton's buzzer beater
Only bad thing is Morris is projected to be a top 5 pick. SO Denver or Golden State are most likely to get him.
