Target is having a sale on 25 the "Greatest Hits" games for PS2. Buy 2 get 1 free and all the games are $19.99.

I got my PS2 last Christmas and have been hesitant to buy any games because of their high price. Now with this sale I figured it would be a good time to stock my inventory.

The games that are on sale are:
    Jak and Dexter
    Gran Turismo 3
    Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3
    Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2
    Crazy Taxi
    Maximo
    Smuggler's Run
    Silent Hill 2
    Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
    Devil May Cry
    Star Wars Starfight
    Dark Cloud
    Twisted Metal Black
Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
    ATV Offroad Fury
NBA Street (I already have this one. It's badass)
    Simpson's Road Rage
    Midnight Club
    Onimusha: Warlords
    Max Payne
    Tekken Tag Tournament
    Virtua Fighter 4
    Red Faction
    Spy Hunter
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex
    Resident Evil Code Veronica X

Which of these 3 should I get? I like action, RPG, basketball and first person games were I kill averything in site. ;)

    Thanks

    The three I would get:
Gran Turismo 3 - Best racing game ever
Devil May Cry - Very good action game with plenty of cool moves
Tekken Tag Tournament - Greatest fighting series

    Runners Up:
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 - Fun with good replay value
Jak and Dexter - Really good if you like platformers
Smuggler's Run - The biggest downside to this game are the limitted number of levels, the multiplayer is fun though.
Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty - Cool game, but you end up watching a lot of the story.

    Games I would avoid:
Maximo - I paid $15 for this game and regret it, I feel robbed
Midnight Club - Sub par grahics and controls, get Smuggler's Run or GT3 if you want a car game

    Other:
Silent Hill 2 - I played the first one and liked it but never played the second though I've heard good things about it.
Twisted Metal Black - It was OK, but not my cup of tea.
Virtua Fighter 4 - My brother had it and likes it, it seemed cool from what I played of it.

Devil May Cry - Very stylish, challenging and loaded with non-stop hack-n-slash and gun action.

    Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - A very good action-RPG.

Silent Hill 2 - If you like games that freak you out, pick this up. A creepy, atmospheric game.

metal gear solid 2--one of my favorite games ever. however, it feels like a movie sometimes.

gran turismo 3--if thats your thing

twisted metal black--ive never played it but twisted metal 1 and 2 were just awesome games. twisted metal 3 and 4 sucked, but i heard this game was similar to tm2.

You must get Gran Turismo 3, it's a GREAT buy at $20.....doesn't really matter what other games you get because it alone is worth $40, but I'd get these;)

    Simpson's Road Rage
    Tony Hawk 3

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

Right now I'm leaning towards Devil May Cry and MGS2. I'm still undecided on the last game. Maybe I'll read a few more reviews. Silent Hill 2, Baldur's Gate, Jak and Dexter all look good.

Anyone played Max Payne, Red Faction, Dark Cloud, or Resident Evil?

It looks like Gran Turismo 3 is a good game also but I'm not much into racing games.

I enjoyed Dark Cloud, but I'd get Baldur's Gate over it or Dark Cloud 2. I think you'd really enjoy Baldur's Gate if you like RPGs.

After reading this thread I hopped over to my local Target and picked up:

Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
    Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
    Gran Turismo 3

I also picked up Amadeus (Director's Cut) on DVD for $20. All in all, a good haul for ~ $62.

    Thanks for the heads up!

I hadn't played Gran Turismo 3, but I'd heard good things.

Now all I can say is "holy freaking crap!"

I only had a few minutes to play, but GT3 is like watching television!

Is Simpsons Road Rage basically "Crazy Taxi" but with Simpsons characters?

I went to target and picked up Ace Combat 4...awesome air fighter game, Midnight Club, and Silent Hill 2. I haven't opened either of the latter 2 because I've been killing bogies all over the place!!!:D

My personal car is the Red Mustang "R" all souped up!!! It might not beat the Viper, Porsches, and some other high end models, but it's a 'stang...

Red Faction is a pretty good game. The weapons have secondary functions like Unreal Tournament and the controls are set like the N64 Goldeneye. If you're not used to it, it will take some time to get adjusted to. The multiplayer is decent.

    Great rental at least.

Baldur's Gate is a solid game, and everyone should have Devil May Cry.
