Need Anniversary Dinner Restaurant Recommendation

    I've been searching around online for romantic spots in Houston for an anniversary dinner and I can't make up my mind. Right now I'm considering:

    Brenner's on the bayou
    Lexington Grill
    Michaelangelos
    Hugos
    Grove
    Trevesio (as a last resort/backup plan since I'm in the med center)

    Can you guys help me decide? I'm looking for a generic American/Italian/Mexican restaurant, nothing exotic/out there. Drinks aren't important as the gf doesn't drink. Location preferably within the 610 loop, a little west is OK. Price isn't important I just really want something nice and romantic.

    Hugos isn't romantic. Have you tried Houston's? (On Westheimer and Fountain view)

    Osteria Antica in Rice Village. Awesome Italian food, and a really nice, cozy, romantic ambiance.

    Oxheart is a treat.
    Rainbow lodge has a good atmosphere
    Cafe Rabelias is cozy, although it is tight on space and they don't take reservations.

    If price is no concern, then you can do Da Marco (italian) in Midtown.

    This if $$$ isn't an issue. All very upscale and very good date spots although Tonys is a little louder. I've never been to CINQ at la colombe d'or on montrose but food there is apparently very good and the ambience would make it a great date spot.

    I also like Mark's. I thought Rainbow Lodge moved locations and isn't quite what it used to be.

    Tonys - Most expensive, most glamorous, best continental european food
    Da Marco - Great italian restaurant. Romantic, cozy.
    Marks - Tony's lite. A bit darker, less romantic with great food with a more cajun twist.

    Oxheart - a foodie's delight. not that romantic
    Uchi - incredible Japanese fusion. Best Restaurant in Houston IMO
    Masraffs - Very good new american food. More contemporary decor. Busier. Great drinks.

    RDG - beautiful restaurant. The food is bland. Heavy emphasis on SW style
    Del Friscos - Best steakhouse in Houston. Romantic / business environment

    Rainbow lodge - looks like a hunting cabin. Not romantic. Food is substandard.

    Let me know if you want to know about any other restaurants I might have left off.

    Stay away from Brenners. The place has gone down hill, too many skinny jeans outside on the deck partying, food is bland now and it's freaking loud inside.

    I'd choose Marks or Uchi. That place is amazing.

    you should take her to Killen's steakhouse in pearland, i went there this weekend really good steak and appetizers price is pretty reasonable too.
