I had a feeling it would disappoint. So much for a knockout blow on Apple and the door is wide open for HTC & LG to emerge if they are up to the task. I'll wait on the Motorola X-Phone. If it doesn't measure up, there is always next year.
the review from cnet http://reviews.cnet.com/samsung-galaxy-s4/ Personally, I'm glad i resisted upgrading my s2 to an s3 due to having it only 8 months at the time... cant wait to get the s4.
Yes. It's a spec bump with minimal changes to the body, just like the S iteration is in the cycle. Anyhow: seems familiar somehow, haha.
I'm definitely getting the S4. I was deciding between the Note 2 and S4 (I don't know why anyone would get the S3 over the S4 at this point) but I think I'm going with the S4.
Wake me up when the apps are actually using those specs. I can't imagine this being much different than the S3 in day to day use.
I've owned every version of the Galaxy and an Infuse too, not once did I run with TouchWiz. A few clicks and it's gone.
The onslaught of plastic continues, as a former Nexus S(Galaxy S) owner, and having played with my coworkers Galaxy S2... I am over it, the plastic is no bueno. There's a fine line between light and too light... the Galaxy line is too light, and it feels cheap, not saying it's cheap, but it feels cheap. Personally I prefer stuff like this to have some heft to it.
Touchwiz will always be there regardless of what launcher you use on top of it. Your settings and notification bar will always use that framework.
I definitely want to see the battery life tests before I call this a success. If that larger battery combined with the efficient processor can yield some eye popping results, I'd say it's a big win for Samsung. The biggest complaint i hear from most Android users is battery life. I'm not talking about your power users either. I already know most android phones can get good battery life with custom kernels but for the masses that don't or are unwilling to do all of that complain. If they can get razr maxx like life out of this phone, it'll be awesome. The biggest complaint of the phone is obviously touchwiz and all the gimmicky software features. Though I like the IR port for some odd reason. Part of me sees the phone as the ultimate universal remote that you carry with you. Imagine being at the sports bar and changing the channel as you want. =). PS. I still won't switch away from my nexus 4 though unless samsung sells this sucker for 350 also. (i doubt it)
