Jones is trying to get as close to Kobe as possible without fouling to make him uncomfortable on the shoot. I dont believe It is a dirty play. In other words I don't believe jones is intentionally trying to position himself to be where Kobe's foot lands.

Kobe pulled a "Reggie Miller" leg kick before Jones took him out...could have been a offensive foul on Kobe, then a technical on Jones...
I have a feeling you dont play much basketball at all.. This is not even close to being a dirty play. He raised his hands up and stood there. What do you want him to do, step back on d??? Even on the play to end the game, kobe is the one who has his legs coming down awkwardly due to the fact that hes fading almost out of bounds. Didnt look like dahntay was trying to undercut him, just playing super close on one of the most clutch players in the league. This isnt like Bruce Bowen who always stuck a foot right under you, like habitually. DJ had his hands up and played solid without reaching or committing a foul. Seems like it was just bad luck that he got injured at all.
duh fuq was jones to do? stand straight and let him have the jumper? the previous play, kobe goes straight up and jones is just standing straight up. because kobe was fading, jones had to go forward but again, jones is known for a cheap player
that's right, there was no foul, and like Kobe never try to hurt other players during the game? please....
Jones graduated from the Bruce Bowen school of defense, i'm expecting a jump kick to the face in the next game lol.
Kobe is such a whiny little b****. Sticks his leg out, loses balance, turns ankle on the floor, complains about that being dirty? What a b****.
Wow that wasn't intentional, Kobe kicks out when he shoots. One of my friends I used to play against used to do that all the time and blame me when he would always turn his ankle he shouldn't have been kicking in on his shot.
exaclty someone post that 2009 WC semi clips with battier guarding Kobe and going out of his way to smother battier and play super dirty. What a little b**** , I had a lot of respect for him.
Here's some irony, Bruce Bowen analyzing Dahntay undercutting Kobe: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:9050407
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/x4aDM5d27_w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Thats dirty.
God, that knee to Battier's face reminds me how much I hate Kobe. I'm sticking with my theory that says Kobe was trying to kick Jones in the nuts.
