Ummm no, the way he laid down with his elbows behind his head and on the scorer's desk showed the UTMOST contempt for the rival team, ESPECIALLY in the rival's home arena. Artest has been known for playing dirty and it was obvious he did something to really incite Wallace. Wallace looked like he wanted to KILL Artest.

I seriously think Artest had some psychological issues in terms of being able to handle himself in social situations. I assume he finally got help since he's been relatively calmer in recent years.

Have you ever played basketball? It's a physical sport. That was mildly dirty...at most.

Plenty of players have laid on the scorers table in similar situations. Or, they walk to the other side of the court. Or, they laugh with their teammates. Contempt for the rival team? No, more like trying not to contribute to anymore overreaction from Wallace. Wallace wouldn't let the play go. It's obvious on the film. Artest walked away, and even if you don't like how he laid down on the table, there is no disputing that Wallace CONTINUED to instigate the fight.

You can assume psychological distress and what not, but video does not lie.

    LOL,

The reason the fight got out of hand was because of Artest's actions. Laying on the scorer's desk, completely flat on his back as if he owned the place. Douche move pissed off the fans so they threw water on him. Mindless, uncontrollable Artest decides to rush stands, targeting any number of fans. And it wasn't the end. Later, back on the floor, goes after another fan. Yeah, that fan shouldn't have been there but dude, control yourself!

Douche move was comparable to some stranger going over to your house and than plopping himself on your couch. You gonna say "whatta hell?!!"

If Ron Artest (Metta World Peace) get one, might as well give one to Trevor Ariza...

no he wasn't. If you look at him he was trying to calm down, if you'v seen artest when he's pissed off he knows and tries to zone himself out of the "bad-place" what he did is a classic coping mechanism.

artest was laying on the table to relax and calm down. it was ben wallace and the horrible pistons fans that were escalating everything.

artest was doing the right thing. it's a shame their fans had to be so classless.

That entire incident doesn't become legendary if Artest just goes back to his team's bench and sits down.

    since this wasn't answered yet....

Landry, played it during his first game back as a then King
Hayes, played last year when he wasn't even in uniform
    Battier, played back in Nov
    Scola

even if its all the same format, old starting lineup clips, hustle plays, memorable playoff moments, then eases to their outside the court work, its a great formula that works with any player you insert

was surprised that Lowry didn't get one since he was a fan favorite

also surprised Brooks didn't get one when he came back as a Sun after the Dragic trade, but had an odd video package played tonight during a timeout in the 2nd qtr as if he wasn't ever going to get play on the court for the proper ovation, which he eventually got

Kam and I have this ongoing joke whenever a former Rocket comes back, regardless of tenure, we scream where is their video package, everyone from Jared Jeffries, James White, Gerald Green, Steve Novak, even Lin last year when he came back as a Knick before Linsanity
