Why is he wearing heavy clothes? It is not that cold. Soft. Patterson would not have worn a hoodie. Also, why does he struggle against big slow Pekovic? I like his take on advanced stats, though. Morey need to invest in some Precogs.
His response to advanced stats was epic........has potential to be up there as an all time classic clutchfans line......
Everything I've heard about/from this guy tells me his heart is in the right place. Not sure about his brain though. Talk about a bad interviewee...
Doesn't seem to be the brightest guy in the world......but I love the way that he is determined to be a father figure to his sister. Breaking the stereotype.
On the other hand, Royce White is a pretty good interviewee. Don't know what happens next year, but this year I'd rather go with the guy who trys.
My favorite "LOL moments" : Interviewer : "And [Al Jefferson's] bigger than you too, I guess?" T-Rob : "Well, you know as far as bodywise... yeah". (No idea what else that could've meant TRob, but I'm scared to ask.) Interviewer : "The Rockets are famous for having a front office that's really into advanced stats. Does that affect your job in any way? Do you hear about that?" T-Rob : "Advanced stats? Meaning stats that haven't happened yet?"
Sorry, as a Longhorn fan I have to say it -- that's a Kansas education for you. Truly though, I really relate to the kid's tough family history and situation with his sister. I don't care if he might not know what certain terms mean, Robinson seems like a solid young man that might be an actual role model for people who come from similar family situations. I don't care if he pans out on the court for the Rockets or not, I wish him the best. Luckily though he plays hard, is pretty fun to watch, and often flashes a some pretty solid skill for a power forward. With him and DMo I think we are going to be able to get at least one solid starting power forward. At least.
BBIQ and normal IQ are quite different. I believe Rose is quite bad at interviews and school stuff. But you don't see it on the court. While Thabeet I believe is a very smart fella.
