I get all the Sam Smith hate, but... Morey open to trading Lin or Asik? Of course he is.

It was not just Wade, who happened to be a proven winner. Yes, getting Bosh is certainly part of it. Pat Riley mattered too.

Meanwhile, the way LA has approached last 2 games, there is NO absolute urgency for Howard to leave that team. As for the big 3 talk, CP3 could easily attract another big one as well, since Clippers have more "assets".

I think Les wants to win even more. I think anyone, other than Harden, could be traded if it improves the team.

Sure, Harden is the only guy untouchable. It's always a matter of what you want to get and want you can get for the rest.

That could be the dilemma. The impact Lin has on their sponsorship deals is very apparent and Les himself is heavily invested in China with businesses relating to licensed NBA merchandise.

Yet PG is probably the one position in the NBA where teams can cheat at right now. That is, underspend at that position. It seems like every year, new PGs emerge. Every other night, some rookie PG goes off.

Everyone I know puts Harden in their top 8. LeBron said he made superstar status. JVG said he should be in the race for MVP. He is inarguably the 3rd/4th most valuable asset in the league. How exactly is anyone overrating him?

I don't understand why would you mess up this bad when you have a team that can be a contender in the future. Sure, they want to get better, and I don't disagree. Chris Paul and Howard are better upgrade. But will those two want to come here? NO. And hell no I dont want Bynum and Josh Smith. That's why rather stay with Lin and Asik who are young and are the future for this team. And I like the assets around them that can help us get Kevin Love next year. Come on Morey you're better than this.

Les was caught up in Linsanity and paid max price. Now it's time to build around Harden. I'm a Lin fan so I hope he lives up to his potential in Houston. Being traded may be detrimental to his growth. Definitely going to a team as a backup PG would be.

That's what I think, too. The Clips are 2 years ahead of the Rockets, are close to being a real contender, and are in Los Angeles.

Harden has elite offense. Defense is horrendous. Basketball is played on both sides of the court. Lebron has elite defense, Kobe has elite defense and wade has elite defense. Even tmac has elite defense. Harden gets a lot of attention for his scoring around the league but I actually watch the games and I can tell you the team will not go far if he continues to play porous defense like he does now.

Harden will become elite. I don't see it this year.

    Harden is the only untouchable.

If you can trade everyone on the damn roster except Harden for CP3 + Howard You damn well do it.

No way Les signs off on trading Lin. Rox got preseason games lined up in Taiwan next yr for cryin out loud and millions of potential sponsor dollars. Lin's got too much upside and if we get dwight next yr Lin will lead the league in assists.

I could see us trading one of them, not both

nothing to see here. I sincerely hope other GMs know that Asik and Lin are available for a second franchise piece.

CP3+Howard+Harden would be great! If CP3 decides to stay in LA, getting Howard may depend on getting his good friend Smith. I think Morey will try to get Howard (cap room) + Smith (Asik and Lin's cap hits). Smith will be overpaid, but we will have two franchise players to build around, and I don't think Morey can afford to re-sign both Asik and Lin if other teams offer to pay them $10-12 million/yr.

    Howard/Smith/Parsons/Harden/Brook
    G. Smith/Dmo/Robinson/Jones/White/Anderson/Beverley

Rockets should trade Harden for Cp3 and sign Dwight in the offseason.

CP3, Dwight, Parsons > Dwight Lin Harden Parsons.

^ Hell no. Cp3 has knee issues and is a few years older than harden. Harden hasn't even hit his prime yet.

Thunder did that because they knew Harden would want more money than they could afford, and Lamb looked good up till then PLUS Martin was an expiring...PLUS they got picks.

Made sense for them to do that.

Meanwhile.....LA is damn near a Clipper town now and CP3 is on a GOOD team with good teammates. What would be crazy is if the Clippers didn't offer him a max contract to kill all the noise as soon as they can.

Clippers max offer will be higher than any other team can offer, no?
