I came across this site last week called overthecap.com. As you can probably tell by the name, it has to do with NFL salary cap, player contracts, etc. It's run by the same guy that runs nyjetscap.com.

You can look at the cap situation for each team. Looking at the Texans page for 2013, you can see each player's salary for the year including bonuses, their cap number, dead money and cap savings if they get cut. If the cap savings is positive then that's how much the Texans would save if that player gets cut (bye bye Walter). If the cap savings is negative then that player ain't going nowhere.

Clicking on a player's name will show you his salary for past and future years as well as cap hit, etc.

The site is not perfect (for example, it has Dwight Jones listed even though he quit during OTAs), but it's a good reference to see each team's salary cap situation.

I'll wait for Bima to confirm or deny this nyjetcap.com's authenticity.

    Thanks Jet.

It'd be interesting if we'd consider cutting OD. I'd hate to see him go but he's definitely not the dominant OD that we were so used to counting on before the injury.

I don't see OD getting cut this year. Next year will be a different story though. At the least, he will need to restructure.

Ouch. Antonio Smith's contract at 9.5 million and by cutting him we would save 6 million.

Love that guy, but it's not looking good for him.

This is why they're looking at extending his contract.

Schaub's numbers make me wanna throw up especially after what Brady just did for his team.

I would wait on cutting OD(I would look to trade him...ie to a team like the Falcons)

Antonio is going to be the issue...If antonio accepts a restructure, then perhaps, he stays...but things look bad for the Ninja

any idea when the projected 2014 cap number will start unofficially circulating? 2014 will be when we begin to see some of the additional revenue from the new CBA added to the cap (the extent of the increase has been under debate).
