I've been on the Collier bandwagon for awhile but I know it's more of a wagon than a nitro-burning dragster. The Collier bandwagon does have a "reserve tank" (the Bucks conditional pick).

Can we add Raef LaFrenz and Todd Fuller to the list of "less than buff" Caucasians?

Geeze, did we all forget the biggest AND fattest success? BIG COUNTRY!

Mark Eaton was not exactly shapely....he had a nice career. Randy Bruer, Jack Sikma, Laimbeer, all those fools had successful careers. I think we have covered the "when was the last time..." question.

    NEXT!

Yeah, but he asked for "fat" ones. You guys are off-topic. Jack Sikma, fat? Pfft.

Come on... we want some FAT white guys.

    How tragic...

White doesn't matter. Fat guys are fat guys, and they all usually suck. You call big country a success? Just because he hasn't been totally rejected by the NBA (ala Roberts and Hamilton) doesn't make him a success. Most people consider his fat ass one of the bigger busts. But Collier is not fat compared to those guys, although, so far he does suck just as bad.

Forget that bandwagon stuff. He's a rookie. He is gonna play rookie type defense. If he develops, give him credit. If he doesnt, we got a 7'er with a nice jumper and a first round pick to move up in next years draft. If the draft is as deep as they predict it will, then a lot of teams wont mind moving down because there will be so much talent.

He's a rookie without QUITE the range to be a 3 point threat in the NBA, no interior defensive skills, and no post skills. What exactly is there to be excited about? If his jumper was a bit better, I'd think he had a place. That's my only hope for Collier-to extend the opposing defense b;y improving his jumper.

...so hands up who's never really watched Collier play??

Collier HAS got a post game! He shoots a turnaround and a lefty hook, and he has nice footwork down low.

Collier CAN play D - sure he's not showing any of that right now, but, believe it or not, one of his strengths at college was his ability to use his body to keep opposition players away from the hoop. Sure he's no intimidator, but he boxes out well!

It took him a couple of years to adjust completely to the college level, I believe it'll take him a couple of years to adjust to the NBA level, but when he does he should be ok!!

    DoD,
Sikma was a big ball of baby fat. He was soft and squishy!

    OK, he wasn't fat....but he wasn't buff.

How fat are we talking? The definition of fat is relative to what each poster thinks fat means.

    Stanley Roberts - FAT!
    Oliver Miller - HUGE!
    Thomas Hamilton - ROTUND!

Oh, I forgot....I have to name caucasians?

    Hoop-T,
Look at that paycheck he's getting. He SHOULD be putting up all-star numbers. After 5 years, making the money he is, he is a BUST.

Hey comeone, it's not Big Country's fault that Vancouver paid him way too much money. The numbers he puts up aren't too bad, he's just considered a failure because expectations of him were so much higher!

Let that be a lesson to us with regards to Collier. If we expect nothing then we won't be disappointed!!!
