When the new arena opens next year, should they re-retire Dream's number? His ceremony last year looked very rushed. I think Houston should have waited a year or two, because most of us were still resenting the Raptors ordeal. I guess I'm just saying this because I was catching the Knicks game and Ewing's ceremony was much better than Dream's and was more emotional.

The new arena is YAO'S HOUSE!

Yao's house? I think it's the TEAM'S house!!! That is the problem here. The team must play like...a TEAM.

It's a house for all rocks.

I expect to see the Rockets bring back Hakeem for a ceremony for his statue unveiling next to the new arena.

As for the new arena bring Yao's house, it was Hakeem's dominant play in leading the Rockets to the top twice that made this new arena a reality.

This is the house that Hakeem built.

Yao's house? Until Yao wins a playoff game, he doesn't get a closet in this house.

Until this version of the Rockets wins something besides the lottery, they are renters not owners.

I agree, the ceremony was kind of disappointing.. it wasn't even a sell out.

It was emotional, but I think it could have been better.. and it should have been better.

I hope they at least have a ceremony for his statue unveiling.. I can't wait to see it, I was really excited when they announced that. I hope it's him hitting a Dream shake over Shaq or Robinson.. maybe even blocking Jordan :D

I am prety sure there is going to be some kind of a celebration at the new Arena when Hakeem's statue is put infront of the new Arena.

    Hakeem...the Dream.

    Hakeem: Don't over-do it.

Yao: Don't put too much pressure on the kid.

It may be Yao's house, but Dream built it. ;)

I would have thought Hakeem would have been at Ewing's ceremony, given the other players that were there from other teams (Clyde, Barkley, Jordan, etc.). Hakeem was to Ewing was Magic was to Bird. Do you think Ewing didn't invite him?

Hakeem was a better player than Ewing but the Dream's ceremony was pathetic compared to the one at MSG last night. Thats just the difference between the Garden and The Compaq Center.

Want to hear some bullsh!t? I have to watch the Rockets on NBA League Pass, and the game where Hakeem had his jersey retired, they cut the game OFF at halftime and they didn't show the ceramony!!! I was pissed off. That really sucks too, I bet y'all got a decent show there in Housotn watch Bill and Calvin the entire game, plus seeing the retirement ceramony.
