I am pretty young but my worst moment is the 97 WCF where Stockdon hit the 3 . It was like a dagger to my heart. Probably the only time I cried after a sporting event
when hakeem hit that 3 to wrap up the 2nd title. because i knew that was as good as it was ever gonna get. yeah right!! that was friggin awesome. obviously flopton hitting that 3. i can't be held responsible for what i would do if i had a lead pipe and saw flopton alone in an alley.
John Lucas getting called for charging in the Eastern Conference finals in 1977. The replays showed that the Philly player was moving, horrible call cost the Rocks a chance to go to game 7 and possibly the finals that year. Also, the Stockton 3, and Charles Barkley going out with a torn elbow tendon and the Rocks up 2 games to 1 and a 10 point lead, it all fell apart after that. DD
Come on hoe can anything be worse than that 3, oh wait you're a jazz fan too........... Seriously man, that was an horrible feeling, maybe the sweep the year before by Phoenix but man I remember seeing the new anchor on kprc that were on after the game and the lady had tears in her eys, it was depressing as heck. And hurts even mroe because we blowed a late lead that game.
Worst moment ever. It makes you realize that tonight wasn't THAT bad compared to this. Tonight was actually exciting and promising.
Definitely the Utah game. Even before we choked that last home game against Utah, with five minutes to go I had a sinking feeling of deja vu. I just knew we were going to lose.
Seriously though, my worst moment was when they switched over to OJ Simson during a Rockets playoff game. I was PO'ed
You know, I forgot all about that! It was a Finals game too, wasn't it. Count me down for the Stockton's 3, that SOB's greatness was on full display with that shot.
I know you were trying to edit...but for everyones sake.....that was the Sonics that made us their b****es in 4 games. I don't think Phoenix knows anything but playoff heartbreak from us I recall reading on their board once that it made them want to puke that Elie played for them after the "kiss of death"
Wasn't it game 6? I remember I was too young to buy beer and I was at a beach house party. Me and my other die-hard Rocket fan friends left all the women to go listen to the game in my car. Thinking back...I must have been insane to leave the hotties
When Scottie Pippen turned the ball over vs. the Lakers in the closing moments, and then in the post game interview proceeded to blame Charles Barkley and his lack of clock management knowlege for the loss. I feel like I said that before somewhere
