judging from the posts it doesnt seem like too many people see this.... people are calling him a class act who said the right thing when he blatantly puts his brand of basketball over the team in his opening statement.... every time i come on this forum it seems like it is a Harden vs. Lin schism... very rarely do i read genuine posts with the overall team in mind...all of these asian fans who love lin so much and don't care about the welfare of the team and know nothing about rocket history disgusts me and they are blinded by their asian hero they pollute this forum with biased posts... so yes...i do feel like i am one of the few posters with a non bias view on rocket relations...
he is the highest paid player from his draft class and the starting point guard on a playoff bound team....he shoots almost as much as Harden w/ less efficiency...but the posters on here believe he has tapped out when he like most of the players on our team are still improving...i believe Lin will develop into good point guard if he forgets the LINSANITY fluke and starts to play like a championship point guard...Linsanity is not going to win a trophy
dude come on....the majority of Lin only fans are asian...rightfully so....he is a pioneer for asian culture...the first asian american to make the NBA...that is pretty huge!
This is just mind boggling. Lin's brand of basketball is costing us wins and a chance at the playoffs? Lin's brand of basketball which constitutes tremendous court vision, unselfish play, getting your teammates involved, and giving up your body on offense and defense. That's Lin's brand of basketball... That was instrumental in the biggest wins the team has had this year against other quality playoff bound teams... But yeah I guess that's not quite how a team's style of play shod be to get wins. Let me guess you favor the 1 on 4 ISO brand of basketball? You don't think it's ironic for you to say this after a tough loss in the middle of a playoff race?
So defensive, surprised you hadn't already died from your overdramatic b**** fit. #BeWell friend! A lot of people were moody after that win because it was the season's ugliest win (worst than the Charlotte one). Had it not been for James having to carry us, we would've lost to the Magic. Again, excuse people for not being thrilled about barely beating a tanking team who gets blown out by everyone. So I can see why people were still questioning some of McHale's decisions. Why don't you just ignore? From some of the posts I've seen from you, you seem capable enough to do that and seem above this "waaah, my internet experience is being ruined because not everyone thinks like me!!!"
Man, whatever you are smoking, it must be real good. How can you say Lin does not play TEAM ball when his Assists Per Game is 17th highest over every player in the NBA? http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/assists/sort/avgAssists Pretty much everyone knows Jeremy is a pretty humble guy with low to normal ego, despite the fact that it should be much higher with all the insane attention we give him. Either that or Jeremy should win an Oscar for acting. In fact, I would even venture my personal opinion that Jeremy's low ego is hurting the Rockets, because he is deferring to Harden and passing him the ball every time he sees Harden on the floor, instead of playing his style of team basketball.
hey im not saying Lin shouldn't be aggressive...the fact that we have 3 players who can dribble drive and hit the 3 has been huge for us....but i am saying that his quote that people are labeling class is really not so....he took a jab at the coach's decision and displayed stubbornness... but he is not immune to criticism...Lin plays ISO BALL more than Harden and he is less warranted to do so....Harden is an OLYMPIAN, Harden played in the NBA FINALS...the guy has more stripes than Lin, more experience, he is more proven, paid more...but there are times when Lin goes one on 5 and ruins the offense but that never gets highlighted on these forms....people are quick to point out HERO BALL or whatever you guys call it....LIN DOES THE EXACT SAME THING BUT HE IS JEREMY LIN... Jeremy Lin is nowhere near the level of a James Harden but his ego is greater than Harden's...why?...because he is an iconic sports figure with fans all over the world....that may be the downfall of Lin's career....
a part of me is cool with what mchale is doing. i mean, pop used to do that to tony parker all the time when he was young. but then again pop would also yell at tim duncan. mchale doesnt really go off on harden.
Didn't look playful to me either for whatever that's worth. I'll say that's pretty out of character for CP25, who's always a total class act.
and for the record it was playful.... if it wasn't you would see a reaction out of McHale... instead McHale takes it in stride as if it didnt happen OR as if it was good nature... obviously it is the latter...
