Anyways.....I'm speechless. Boneheaded doesn't begin to describe it. Tonight....in all my years of being a fan....I have never been more disappointed in Steve Francis. He has horrible shooting night, then tries to be a F***ING HOTSHOT at the end. First of all, no timeout is unexcusable, Then he's lucky he didn't get called for traveling. I mean, we don't get any stupider.

I've had it. We don't deserve the playoffs and I hope they don't make it. Maybe they'll learn that STUPID ASS play like that gets them no where.

    Disgraceful.

I think you're forgetting that Yao didn't call the TO when he got the board. SF didn't shoot, but he had a ton of boards and dimes.

first even though the refs blew it faster than a $2 ho*e, we could have had the win... IF WE HAVE THE FINAL SHOT WITH LESS THAN 24SECS CALL A TIME OUT......

repeat for future notice IF WE HAVE THE FINAL SHOT WITH LESS THAN 24SECS CALL A TIME OUT...

with that said, we should rename the the MJBA on mikes behalf because he can do no wrong... i think one ref put it best "when mike fouls we dont see it, what can we say.... hes the best so we gotta make sure he stays like that for as long as we the refs can"

steve, yao, cat, i hope you remember these kinda games in the future....

chalk this game up as a learning experience... again

There is one major factor I can point to: 2 of 21 (9.5%) shooting for Francis and Posey combined. That is just inexcusable. We can't win games with that kind of shooting. The fact that we were close in the game is a testament to Mo Taylor. The Rockets were also able to force some key turnovers late in the game even though the Wiz were shooting lights out.

The OT was tough but we lost long before that. It's a miracle that we even came back. What's wrong with Posey? He hasn't been the same since the all-star break. First he can't shoot, now he can't even defend. Maybe that's why Rudy hasn't go to him in the final minutes these past few games.

Oh give me a break. Somehow I knew youd try to pin this on him. he was fighting for the rebound and found Steve. There were about 7 seconds left. francis could easily have called the timeout but he didnt.

And he shouldnt have . He was streaking down the court but panicked. He tried to put up a desperation 3 with 2.5 seconds left when he couldve kept going.

He simply panicked came down and Mobley threw up a desperation 3.

Not a good game by Francis but like most losses, it was a team effort.

DRose, no offense at all to you but i gotta point out a few things. yeah, this was one helluva game but when you say that you're going to leave for the night, it would all help us out A LOT if you mean what you say...especially since you posted SO MUCH throughout the entire game (and mostly random pointless posts at that)...in which case, the chat room is best for you.

also, it's easy to do, but bandwagoning/being a fair weather fan because you've lost hope in a team early on really doesn't look good. i'm not an experienced enough poster to actually say something like this...but i really think you should think before you post again.

What? You mean Steve can't call a TO, only Yao can? How much time for the outlet pass from Yao to Steve? half a sec maybe?

Yea, Yao should've called timeout. But Steve should've called time out as well. They're both to blame.

Van Gundy would be a great coach for the Rockets. His analysis about the Rockets' deficiencies was simply amazing.

It's quite clear that Yao was trusting Steve as a leader.

Again, we made mistakes down the stretch...and we were victims of the Jordan rule.

Yao should have called timeout as soon as he caught the rebound. Steve should have gone all the way to the basket if he were going to take the shot. Instead, he was thinking about a heroic three pointer on a night that he couldn't hit ****.

That block by Yao was definitely good. That was a scoop shot by Jordan that was clearly on its way up. MJ also pushed Hawk away a few times to get his shot off and there was NO CALL! As always, Jordan gets the calls.

I think we are now officially out of the playoffs picture. :( This is just sad. :( :(

Mo Taylor was the only postive in the game. He was unstoppable in the 4th and OT. He deserves to start.

Everyone on the floor should be calling that timeout. Yao should have when he got the ball but he threw a fairly fast outlet pass to Francis on a dead run. Everyone should have been screaming timeout, not just Steve or Yao.

These are the types of games I can see us winning in a year or two. For all the mistakes, they only had 8 turnovers and they came WAY back against a good team on the road.

Lots of mistakes that can and, I hope, will be corrected.

I disagree. I'd rather have a streaking Francis with 7 seconds left on a 1 on 1 situation than call a timout, givce the defense time to setup and have us throw up a brick.

Steve just panicked. There was plenty of time on the clock .

Oh well. We showed some heart but once again, lapses for long stretches of the game. Great job by Hawkins and Mo T.
