Game Thread: Iowa Energy @ Rio Grande Valley Vipers 3/5/2013

The Vipers should do what Ric Bucher said. Force feed White in the post and at least get some idea of what they have. I thought he looked ok in Summer League but hasnt shown much in the D-League although last game he looked a little better before he was ejected Even if he gets his **** straight I don't know if he will ever be a numbers guy. i think he couild maybe, possibly help a team at some point. It's gotta start happening for him now, though.

If he gets thrown out of this game, I am hanging up the towel and done with him.

 

Royce is playing much better this game. Hope he keeps improving his FT

For anyone interested, Royce's line in 36 mins of play :

4-10 FG, 10 pts, 10 rebs, 5 assists, 3 blocks, 2 TO, 5 PF's,

 

I thought he looked very good in the pick and roll and he really looked engaged defensively as well. He was a difference maker tonight. Team looked well-organized spreading the floor and running their stuff. Royce was a huge part of that.

 

For whatever it is worth, Royce is very willing to share the rock. That's a plus. He needs to work on his shot though.

 

That is how he played in college. He would rather give a teammate a good look than try and force something of his own. Makes it hard to showcase his game in a league where so many people are just trying to show off their own skills.

Giving credit for what? Statistically being about the 8th-10th best player on the court of a D League game? Or not getting ejected?

 

gotta do something to raise the trade stock.... replace him with a better talent in the end or more reliable one

 

Well, if we go by +/- he's actually the best player in this game.

 

Well I'd hope so, he's not very good at scoring himself, passing it to those who are capable is the least he can do.
