Rudy T sucks ass. This team is a bunch of wanna be all stars with the exception of a couple of players. The rest of the team is TRASH! Message to Francis: If you don't pass the ball, you're not a point guard and not a good player, if you get lit up by scrubs ALL THE TEAM, YOU SUCK!! I have been a loyal rockets fan for the last 10 years but I will NEVER pay to watch them play until they either FIRE RUDY T or get rid of these selfish half players, that half ass it on D and never pass the ball. This team is hopeless.
I agree that we should fire Rudy, but Francis only has 7 shot attempts. He has been passing all game long.
WE SUCK. Francis is not doing anything. Mobley is missing everything. POSEY IS JUST USELESS. Can't pass or shoot or defend. GRIFFIN is helpless. He doesn't touch the ball. All he can do is play defense. When he does touch the ball.....he shoots and misses. YAO..........is getting it too much and not getting any foul calls. And he can't do anything every time. MOOCHIE...............can't guard their back back up point guard. And he isn't running our offense. Mo Taylor.......doesn't get the ball and doesn't want to get hit by CHARLES OAKLEY. Glen Rice only occasionally hits shots. And Juaquin Hawkins is now knocked out. He's dizzy. He was our only player scoring. Cato.........................is always rebounding but not helping. Over 70% shooting allowed???? Rudy T puts in Glen"I am worth nothing"Rice in instead of leaving Hawkins in for the whole quarter. He was the only guy busting his ass on every possesion. Him and Posey should have been in together. Francis has to been one of THE WORST defenders I have ever seen. What is sad is that it's not because of ability, he is young and quick. You can be an above avg defender just based on that but his effort on D is 0% about 90% of the time. The only time he plays D is if he is playing really well of offense and wants the stats to back up the win. He is a complete loser.
lol.........it would be funny if we won. But it looks terrible. We were down against Boston. We just played very well and got it back. We were up against New York but couldn't hold it and lost. And now...we have no solution. We are just using our athleticism. We need to execute and play properly or something. WE NEED ONE OF THOSE TNT guys. ALL THEY TALK ABOUT IS WASHINGTON WIZARDS AND MICHAEL JORDAN. But one of them is pretty smart.
To all those homer fans, come on guys let's be real. Please stop living in the past, Rudy T has done nothing for the past 6 years. Even before that, I felt like rocket teams have underachieved ever since the second championship. Pippen, Barkley, Dream =first round loss. Could not beat the Jazz with three hall of famers. Lost 15 games in a row last year, the offense STINKS and the best part is that they are no longer playing any D either. There have been hand full of games where it's OBVIOUS that there is no effort on D AT ALL. Allowing the SORRY ASS Wizards led by a 40 year old geezer and a point gaurd named Lue. Shooting over 65%??? Come on man. Get real, FIRE RUDY T!!!
two things: 1. being a loyal and patient rockets fan who is willing to wait and watch this very young team develop together does not make us "homers". nor does believing Rudy is a good coach. 2. i like how people often suggest we fire Rudy but the only names i've ever seen suggested as replacement coaches are coaches who are already head coaches on other teams. i'd like to know who is available to coach this team that they think can do better and i'd also like to point out that if Rudy is fired and the coach hired does not do a better job i will be pointing it out to each and every person who demanded Rudy's job EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Can we please get a real point guard. This is so ugly, there is no flow to the offense. We have to start maybe blaming Steve Francis, who is the focal point of the offense, and who also is really dumb, let's face it. He can't set up teammates, he can't create much, he can't run a fast break worth crap. We win pretty much depending on how he shoots. If he can get 30+ points (very rare) then we win, if he sucks, then the whole team sucks.
Don't you feel at least a little bit wrong putting the blame on Francis when he is playing hurt? obviously he isn't playing anywhere near to his potential. this injury is very unfortunate since it comes in a stretch in which we desperately need Francis in order to make the playoffs, but of course, what good will making the playoffs due if he is still injured and playing below his level? i think at the very least, they need to start sitting him out in one game in back to back situations.
This is not Francis fault. The whole team is playing crap defense and Posey has been a major offensive liability. We were playing 4 on 5 out there. And you cant win like that.
Bob Hill, Chuck Daley and maybe even hard nosed Dave Cowens. Plus there are always good prospects who are assistant coaches under other GOOD coaches. Some one out of Slone's staff? They need a hard nosed coach who is willing to let the players have it if they don't follow through with a game plan or don't play hard. Hakeem was the reason why the rockets have two championship, he got to the finals without Rudy T his second year in the league(or was it second?)..The franchise is Hakeem, Rudy T just happened to be the coach. Message to Francis: MJ was NOT TALKING about you when he said that the game is in good hands with bright young talent(Francis talked about how he thought MJ was talking to him when he said that). It's more like MJ was laughing at him watching T.Lue(COMPLETE SCRUB) light up Francis as have MANY other sorry ass players. I also always find it funny how Rudy T is quick to say Yao is tired or what not but he will NEVER EVER say any thing about Francis having mental blunders EVERY SINGLE GAME(he leads the league in turnovers). He never ever talks about other players(specially his two bone headed ball hogs). Yao is the only reason I still watch the games on tv, he makes mistakes but he plays with passion, unselfish and is down to earth. All the qualities my favorite player "The Dream" had.
How about when he wasn't hurt? I don't remember him being all that great, except for scoring and rebounding. He still couldn't pass or make good decisions. Shouldn't he try to play smarter now that he's hurt? Shouldn't he slow the game down and just open things up for teammates? I think he tries, but just isn't smart or good enough.
I don't know which is worse: the mindless repetition, the constant whining, the incoherent outbursts, or the total disregard for the game thread.
