Best Buzzer Beater Ever??

That's awesome. I was reminded of this buzzer beater:

Considering the stakes (an entire championship hinging on one shot), and the time left on the clock when it left his hands (0.1), you gotta give it to him: best ever. That's what every kid dreams of.

This one's close, but it comes in second due to being "only" a regional final (though everyone knew these were the best two teams in college ball that year).

Damn. That was awesome. Even the announcer was pretty good for a highschool game.

 

I agree the Duke game is the best posted so far. Considering what was at stake. must be an unbelievable feeling.

 

You could also argue that the Duke shot was more due to skill (amazing full court pass, spot-on turn and shoot by Laettner) than luck (ie - a full court hail mary prayer).

The more I think about it, the Duke shot is better. For that matter, the Sampson shot is better. But still, this was a great moment for the kids on the court (well, half the kids, anyway).

First thing I thought of.

 

I was on the edge of the court waiting for this game to end when this happened. San Antonio Jay High School vs. Dallas Kimball - 2002 4A Championship Game. It was amazing - the kid who hit the shot - it was his birthday and his ONLY FG of the entire tournament.
