When we don't turnover the ball and outscore our opponent, we can beat anybody! bring it!

It's true! Crazy stat: we're 33-0 when we outscore our opponent.

Guys who have all-star, 2nd star potential on the team:

    Tier 1
    DMO
    Parsons
    Robinson

    Tier 2
    Lin
    Jones
    White :)p:grin:;):p:grin::p;):grin::p;))

I think Parsons and to a lesser extent Lin could still break out to the next level next year. DMO is flashing elite offensive skills and Robinson has an all-star ceiling since he was so highly regarded in the draft (ok, so was Thabeet but I digress...).

I also like the potential Jones flashed but unsure of his potential. I think we have a good shot of having that 2nd star on the team right now. Give it time Du'rel Murray

Besides the CP3 quote it was cool how McHale said Lin has shown last year that he can maintain a really high level for a while. http://youtu.be/KYtlEOrE5DM

Only when Lin had bad game, the game thread will top 100 pages and "true" rocket fans would have a field day.

But for exciting blowout game and Lin did good? Who cares.

Let's get the winning streak going!

This young team has the material to crush any team, where everything goes right, because we always have enough offensive weapons. We welcome any trading basket opponents, and we will run them down. Well, tonight, we ran them down too fast, got ourselves 20 mins of garbage time:)

When Aisk had 5 steals, and Parsons almost broke Yao's record, Lin and Harden were done with 21 points in 3 quarters and less, we don't need to check the box score.

Only wish we could have more convincing wins like this.

Forgot to mention, Robinson seemed to be a lot more comfortable out there.

White & D-mo & Lin have the highest ceilings on this team. I don't know about Jones or Robinson. I think Robinson has more potential than Jones though & I think White & D-mo have the chance to be really high ceiling players.

White? You guys serious? He hasn't play 1 NBA game yet, not to mention he is a bigger drama queens than D12. At least D12 is an all star and can carry a team.

roxxy, it was a good win and I don't want to start anything, but let me just say something for clarification. Most do not say that McHale hates Lin, that would be pretty ridiculous. They seem to have a good relationship and I've never seen a comment to the contrary. In fact, I doubt there is any hate between anyone on the Rockets as our boys are so refreshingly stand-up in today's NBA.

Having said that, what people are saying, or what I'm saying, is that McHale is not high on Lin and sometimes can't see the positives of Lin playing pg due to the admittedly dumb mistakes Lin makes here and there, and that leads to the marginalization of a potentially dynamic young pg. Mac has shown through his substitutions thus far (edited) that he doesn't think great performances by Lin are sustainable or are conducive to wins. He would rather Lin limit mistakes while out there, instead of encouraging him to be all that he could be, mistakes and all. Now, Harden is clearly our main stud and comparisons with him may draw criticism, but we let Harden have his careless turnovers and lapses in defense here and there, cuz we think that overall letting him play his game is the way to win. Same with Lin, imo. Free Lin and I think we'll have a much more dangerous team.

Great game today. I love it when we run through a team like we did tonight. A few more thoughts.
    - Parsons is so underrated. He could be so much more than just a glue-guy, he's like a young Scottie (of course, he's no Pippen yet..).
    - D-Mo once again is showing his potential, and I love it. It'll take time for sure, but his touch and knack for getting the ball in the hoop, his tenacity, his fire, I love it.
    - Harden. I love Harden. A bad game for him, is like a great game for anyone else. Plus, he's so unselfish for a scoring superstar. Love it. Murray did good.
    - Asik is underrated on the offensive end. Yes, he could catch the ball better, but this is first year unleashing a post game and I couldn't be happier. He's such a solid player and probably our most important player. Irreplaceable. Once he gets his wind up, man, we're good to go.
    - Lin needs to play aggressive, forget all the noise, the turnovers, the drama. He scores, we do well. Please let him play the point and encourage him to score.

    Go Rockets!!

Lin needs to be a combo guard for this team. He is no Rondo. He needs to look to score first and pass second.

He does have a high ceiling, just because he has a low chance of reaching it doesn't mean he doesn't have a high ceiling.

White? Really? No! To be a good player, you'd have to have good attitude and the drive to play the game. No way. His "mental" illness or whatever the **** he has and the way he carries himself. He will never be a star, all star, or a good player.

He probably gets irked more than anything, and maybe even tempted to prove LOFs wrong a bit, but I doubt he is feeling any pressure from LOF-LOHs on this board. Still, he can't be unaware of the criticisms with all the tweet-attacks and Facebook-bombs he/Sampson/Morey must get.

No doubt White had talent coming out of college, and even this Summer, but we are seeing now how important it is for these guys to go through their rookie lumps. He hasn't looked well at all in the D-League of all places. Not just because he's out of shape, but his all-around game has dropped off ridiculously since college.

I think he for sure gets an invitation to Summer league, and training camp next year, but I would be shocked if the Rockets picked up their team option in October, and waive him mid-season next year if he doesn't take a huge step forward over the Summer. Even if he does take a huge step forward, and rededicates himself to the hard work it takes off the court as well, I think its going to be extremely difficult for him to break the rotation. There is a ton of talent ahead of him that you can you argue are a better fit for this team winning games, and comparable(and some better) talent regardless.

Forget the Tiers.... the guys getting the minutes now are the best players with the brightest futures. So....

    #1. D-Mo
    #2. T. Rob
    #2.5 Small Ball
    #3. Smith
    #4. Jones
    #5. White

IMO no way white has more potential than any one on the current roster for me, especially Robinson.

Every time I see him I don't see it, I don't see the first step or the explosiveness that is going to be needed for him to be what he is (a point forward Odom type of player) at all.

I doubt very much that McHale looks at twitter. Doesn't seem to be his thing.

Why should he care about what we are saying:) It's not his main job to cater to the fans...

McHale said the complete opposite tonight in the post game interview though...

McHale has many flaws but this isn't one of them.

Forgot Parsons too. He has a high ceiling as well.
