Dumb argument though. If you take Lebron off the Heat how good would they be? Durant off the OKC Thunder? No chance against the Clippers unless Lin kicks CP3 in the knee.

 

The Rockets are not a good matchup for the Clippers since we are turnover prone and our defense sucks. The Clippers have a inconsistent half court offense but we can't take advantage of that with our piss poor defense. Also they can also run so our running game isn't as effective.

Even with previous iterations of the Rockets, they seem to have an issue of playing to the level of the competition towards the second half of the season.

 

Why are we worried about seeding???.. We're 1st round road kill anyhow ..... Let's enjoy the historic season we are having.... This is just phase 1 ... Phase 2-4 will be the offseason

 

If we put on a good showing down the stretch, it will be beneficial in 2 ways:

a) our young players gain experience and start to develop the habit of winning, creating a culture in which winning is the norm, which is absolutely huge when you're trying to build something special.

b) we become more and more attractive to prospective free agents.

Ok, we all know that when the Rockets in the past couple of years have been on verge of something good in regards to moving up in the standings go the other direction. Tonight will be the first test IF the Rockets can get over that streak this team will be on the right direction of finally making the playoffs.

 

Utah is playing the next four on the road in a five day period. Three of those games are against playoff bound teams (although they are all leastern conference teams: Milwaukee, Chicago, NYK, ). These next four games against, Dallas, GS, and Phoenix are crucial!
