I didn't want to start another thread about this, and my apologies in advance to RM95 for using his thread to state this...

2 years ago today... the untimely passing of Cole Pittman.

    :(

Keeping it small since its off topic- sorry
You do not have to answer if you do not want to, but did you graduate from, SWT or did you have to move on?

RM95: "What the **** is this guy's deal?"

TheHorns: I always ask as I know 15-20+ people who went there and 4 who were able to graduate from there. They fell into the party trap.

I looked at going there, thought the campus was beautiful, and factored the party element, and decided against... I would have flunked out too.

The silver lining to that tragedy is that it probably saved more lives during 9/11 than if it didn't happen.

I initially wanted to go to Baylor and/or UT. Got into both, but my parents wouldn't pay for Baylor because they didn't think I was going to be serious about my studies. They said if I did good at UT my first semester, then I could transfer. Well, spring semester my senior year, I visited SWT with my girlfriend and absolutely fell in love with it, so there I went.

I enrolled in this thing called the Residential College, where everyone in the dorm were enrolled in the same core classes like History, English, Poly Sci, etc. It kicked ass and I got a 3.65 gpa my freshman year, upon which, my parents said I could transfer. I declined.

The only time I considered transferring was between my sophomore and junior year. I moved to Austin and got accepted, but my girfriend at the time, namesake of Major's former handle, didn't, and I felt really bad about it for some reason and returned to SWT and finished on-time.

I loved the place and wouldn't trade my experience there for anything...except some huge crowds at football and basketball games. :) I did grow up in a pro-Bear/Longhorn house. My Dad would never let my friends wear Aggie stuff in the house...quite comical. :D

First of all, congrats on the SWT graduation, as I said I know it's not easy. Hell, I know a higher percentage of graduates from Rice, Northwestern and even West Point then I do SWT.

I was going to respond to particulars in the post but the entire thing had things I would reply to. That is actually a cool story.

So I am a little late into the BBS-world & CC.net. I oft see the reference to RM95 gal or something that effect, and I saw the "namesake of Major's former handle" in your post. So, since I am finding getting the RM95 scoop, can you shed that last bit o' light?

Does some one have an ex in here? Does that same some one have a currnet who visits?

Major used to be known as shanna. My ex-girlfriend, shanna, was a little bit on the psycho side, and she had this thing about other women and was insanely jealous of me even saying something like "Jennifer Anniston is hot". Well, probably like 5 years ago, we had a hot girl thread, and I posted in it. To be funny, the poster now known as Major made an account under the name shanna to scare the living **** out of me.

    It worked.

    :D

Thanks for the compliment, BTW. Do you go to all home games? We'll have to hook up next season if you're up for it! :)

Another classic story, I would lose my mind too if that occurred. The Mrs is not the jealous type, but I got nervous when I posted about how sexy Debbie Clemens was after mutiple kids. Hell, I wish she looked like the Mrs was that hot before our kid...lol
Major is a guy though, correct?

This past year I did not get season tickets yet I went to 5 of the 6 home games and made the RRS as well as a road trip to NO.

I had more fun w/o the season tix as each week I went, we all just hung out at Schultz's and got tickets on game day. I was thinking about doing the same this year as I had a blast, and did not have to give the "donation" to better my seat position.

We can certainly hook up for some games. Some good home games this year Ark, KSU, Neb, Tech, and also the game at Rice here in Houston.

Yeah, Major's a guy, but there was some confusion for a long time. I've gone polar opposites with RM95's Girl. She doesn't have a jealous bone in her body, and surprisingly, sometimes it bothers me.

Major has six tickets on the west side upperdeck, furthest section to the north. While we'd love to move closer, the only thing that sucks about the seats is the trek up there-it's nice to see a touchdown before a lot of other people. :) We're wanting to do more tailgating next year, so we'll definitely have to work something out.

    No, he's in Austin.

I'm positive we'll be in Houston for the Rice game though.

I will check into it and see when the tickets go on sale and try to get some good ones. I am curious to see how much Rice plans to jack up the prices opposed to their other games.

Yeah, probably a lot. Of course, that game will have Trader_Jorge and heypartner annoying Longhorn fans with predictions of victory the week before, and chants of us being overrated after we smoke 'em.

As long as it's not like our last trip there. Well, I'd take the win, just not the stress.

I'm still pumped for football season, but I'm more excited about a possible return trip to Omaha. We went last year and it was a badass time!

If they go to the game, we will surely be able to spot them, the will be one of the 8 people on their sideline not in orange & white ;).

HeyP will be even easier to spot. He will have to let Mrs P go out the night before so he will likely still have the crusty stuff on his stomach.

A good friend went, and said the same thing, he said it was great, I wish I could have made it, but wuth a 3 yrd old, I get away with a lot, but I have to pick my spots.
