TICKETS GOING FAST!!!!!! within 20 minutes all reasonable price tickets were sold. (in quantities of 4) Ended up using www.ticketsnow.com BUY YOUR TICKETS FAST!!!!
I used the promo code "Fbook" to get early access. I Bought two tickets in the crawford boxes for the second game for my dad for his birthday. Prices are pretty ridiculous on opening day (2-3 times as expensive as normal) I'm pretty pumped. I've never sat in the crawford boxes before!
Yeah, i couldn't get to my computer fast enough, DAMN. Didn't think it would be that bad. Stupid meetings. Anyone have experience with ticketsnow? Seemed legit, like TicketExchange for NFL, but now I'm questioning it.
Just got confirmation, looks legit. But stick with Astros.com if you can afford the more expensive seats. If going solo, you should be ok.
The price gouging is fkn ridiculous and yes all the reasonably priced tix are gone...may have to wait until Monday... http://mlb.mlb.com/ticketing/pricing.jsp?c_id=hou&layout=gameflow#date=03/01/2013
It's not just Opening Day either...looking at tickets for other games, they fluctuate. The cheapest seats you used to be able to get for 5, maybe they bumped it to 7 in recent years. But some games they're selling them for $15. I could have sworn View Deck was around 12 last year but now it's up to 20. Not cool. May be going to more Skeeters games this year.
WOW. Not going to opening day. Rediculous price hike. Pay more for the better teams.... No Astros on TV.....dismal team for the next 2(?) years.
Introducing.... "dynamic pricing." It's not a new thing; the Astros have done it on select sections in the past. But it appears that this year is the first time they'll go full-scale with it. Great timing, I say! While the baseball side of things has been rough (with help on the far horizon), the business side of this organization has been an absolute joke. I have been to everyone since 1995, I'm sure I will go but not gonna buy them now I will wait till the day of to get.
I do remember them doing it in select sections, and have noticed the Rockets going to dynamic pricing as well. Would be nice to see it fluctuate both ways though, and not just up, especially for a team that is gonna have trouble even making it to half full.
I love the way they come up a cool name like "Dynamic Pricing" as if it's a good thing for the fans. Oh well I guess I will be attending the second game of the season.
Imanaged to get 2 $10 tickets from yesterdays pre-sale for Opening Day! They were $12 with fee charges came out to be $28.76 overall. I hate buying from TicketMaster.
I got two tickets in nosebleeds...I've never been to an opening day and its against the Rangers so I caved...way overpriced, but it'll probably be the only game I go to this year
