I was kinda hoping to get a better match up in the first round, especially with other teams ahead of us struggling. We should have won the last 2 games, that's why im kinda upset lol
I think Stern wants the Lakers to get the 8th seed, so they can face the Spurs in the first round and beat them. He does not want the Clippers and the Lakers to face each other in the playoffs because that would hurt ratings, draw a line between LA fans turning them against each other (when he wants them to support both teams), and maybe he wants to keep options open. We know he likes both star-studded teams. Having the Lakers defeat the Spurs in the first round to face the Nuggets (nice rematch) or Grizzlies in the second would be good for ratings. It would somehow make the Lakers the favorites to win the series. OKC vs. the Clippers will feature so many all-stars as well in the WC Semis. I think the WCF will be the Lakers vs. the Thunder.

The main thing I hate about the Lakers is how much attention they get at the expense of other teams. For example, during halftime of the Lakers-Mavericks game on Sunday, Magic Johnson et al talked about the Lakers the whole time and no one ever discussed the Mavericks at all. Lakers fans think this is the way it's supposed to be, that 50% of NBA coverage is about the Lakers, and that's what annoys me.

Yes! Sometimes, when I can't watch the games I track the updates on Twitter, by like just searching "rockets" and constantly refreshing. It's fun because you get the score and you get fan reaction. Anyway, half of the tweets are always from Lakers fans hoping for our failure!! Lol. I got tired of responding to them.
The trades were very risky but I think we still make playoffs. The trades are going to better our team in the long run IMO. We still got some games were we could go on a streak so let's see how things go before losing hope. I am disappointed as the next with the play lately but I believe we can get back on track
Difference is we are not supposed to be the 8th team, we blew the team up before the season and the Lakers were not supposed to be the team after the 8th. I have to say, Lakers will need to win 2 series to get respectability and less turmoil otherwise, anything we do is almost bright for the future. I don't track Lakers losses, I just don't like LA and Utah.
Lakers aren't playing well IMO. They're barely winning games at home against non playoff teams. They're terrible and have a tough schedule coming up. They have a 10% chance of making the playoffs at best. Old teams don't get better as the season goes on when they have to play hard every game. They're done.

Would not blame them I would not blame them since they try to make the playoff and we could not capitalize on game like last night while everyone else lost it was frustrating.
