I don't think that's necessarily the case. Nook has a point - Lin disappears for quarters - mostly because he doesn't impact the game offensively when he's playing off the ball.
First quarter, Lin is the main ball handler; later in the game Rockets gradually turn into music-chair ball handling. This is what I have observed and guess the coaches want to do.
MJ had Pippen. Kobe had Shaq and fisher, and Bynum/Gasol. LeBron has Wade and Bosh. Those guys have a lot of help. Not a very fair comparison.
I'm not "bashing Lin", I'm being objective.. so dude, just stop making everything a freaking ultimatum, like if you say anything negative about Lin that means you're a "hater". Fact.. Lin wasn't brought in here to be this type of player, sorry, but that's the truth.. not hating Another fact, I don't really care what he did in that game, his indecisiveness cost us the game against the Wizards. Another fact, he's been just a role player this year and has been HIGHLY inconsistent while at times has been outplayed by players who were just after thoughts in trades and a player who was basically signed off the trash pile. AGAIN, I wanted Lin to come here, was mad when we got rid of him last year, thought we were getting a up and coming player who could blossom into a legit key player.. possible robin to a batman after the way he played in NY. Nothing he has shown me has now backed that up. He's looking more and more like a role player and a perennial role player for this team. Has he has very good games this year, yes... but they're few and far in between. He needs to be more consistent and be as fearless as he was in NY, that is the player we thought we were getting.
Was his gf at the game or something and he was trying to impress her? Seemed like Parsons tried to do too much offensively.
Beverly is a better one on one defender then Lin. Lin is better on offense. Beverly is good at everything Lin is not so good at.
Which is why the coaching staff should not let Parsons, a 6'9 forward handle the ball too much. He really has an awkard handler.
McHale is a repeat offender with regards to the stupidity of small ball when needing a rebound. Remember how against Miami he didn't even have Asik in the game when we needed a crucial rebound late in the 4th ?
I agree I may sound crazy with my post but I hate the Lakers and jazz with a passion and any other team the moment they're playing the rockets.
Probably something along the line of: "Hey, guys, WTF is with all these screens for the ball carrier? I told you, r****ded Finch iso-initiated offense! I am begging you guys! You all trying to get me fired? Morey is going to have my head if you don't start running the r****ded Finch iso-initiated offense!"
I can turn a blind eye just like this... See my blind eye? It was that easy. Harden has the youngest team in the league perched upon a playoff performance despite his weaknesses, he has CARRIED THIS TEAM ON HIS BACK. Also like you said, he's only 23. He's light years ahead of other players at that age and it's not like he's playing with great defensive players around him.
We actually seem to lose a lot of close games by not getting a rebound. The Wizards game too, could have got the rebound and gave Harden a shot to win it. Same here with this one...Miami game... And Rockets usually don't play many close games...they usually get hot and win comfy if they do win.
Exactly I don't know why? Why why why does he not understand? McHale you played power forward you should know!!! Delfino can barely dunk how will get a rebound over Okafur or Larry Sanders????
