you lost a ton of credibility after you ripped on Lin who did a fantastic job on Jennings...just saying...
Right, it's not like James IS the shooting guard and the max contract player I said, T-Rob and James had bad games, is that not true?
Yeap, and McHale had to have him in the game to close it out when another rebounder would have been a better choice considering the Bucks got 2nd chance opportunities in the final possession.
In the Rockets system he will need to handle the ball, but he has gotten sloppy. I like him, he is a big part of why we can run... But his sloppiness and decision making needs to improve.
Good or bad not sure but McFail looks to be trying to mimic Miami's style of play. This makes the point guard position a bit mundane....Lin = Chamlers...disposable asset at any point of the game. What he doesn't understand is that Harden = James and Parsons = Wade......
I guess coaches prefer Parsons to run the point over Lin. Today Parsons run too much of the point and he's not good at it. TO 5 times with only 2 assists. It's too costly to let Parsons run the point.
it's like groundhog day with this team, new cast but same story line. we need to break it and get over the hump.
Yes, I agree Harden's defense is quite lacking. I would also add physicality. His style of play is more on the finesse side. He's a huge scoring talent, but a risk is that he'll end up like a TMac in his prime in Orlando, and Melo in Denver or now with NYK. Both very talented elite scorers, but not players who are critical game changers (beyond just scoring) like MJ, Kobe, or LaBron who can carry a team to championships with consistent skills beyond primarily scoring. Alot of opinions right now, but only time can tell.. I don't see Delfino beyond his specialty, which is 3 point shooting.
It is possible that setting screens for the ball carrier is much much much more exhausting than it looks, and D-Mo is the only Rocket in good enough shape to do it consistently. Of course, that begs the question why players in every other teams are in so much better shape than the Rockets players are in. They do it all games without showing much sign of fatigue, while the Rockets can only do it for the first 8 minutes, then run out of stamina and virtually stop doing it completely the rest of the game.
Just look over at the corner...that's why. You have Harden bring up the ball and Lin camping out....that's Lin's magic trick.
asik still has a bad case of butterfingers at the basket with wide open looks. he was set up on more than one occasion and he dropped the ball.literally. giving up the 17 point lead was just an omen of what was to come. you cant give a team life after having them down by that much. gives them hope and they play loose and it becomes a war. late game substitution patterns were wierd, not sure after the long layoff why the starters werent brought in until 5 or so to go in the 4th struggling. they should have been on the floor for the final 8 IMO.
on a 1/2 a game behind Utah with their loss. would have been great to move up but at least we didn't move back.
Every game lately, you see the crisp passes and teamwork in the first half and all of a sudden, second half is turned 180. What is McHale telling the guys?
One thing I didn't like. The Rockets as a team just had 3 days off. The Bucks were playing a back to back. The Rockets had energy starting the first quarter, got a big lead, and then suddenly all that energy disappeared. Really bad loss . . .
