The offense doesn't need a huge lift. He just needs to replace the points that left. But I think Dmo is going to get a lot of looks at 3's from the corner and from his Summer League time it looks like he can make a good percentage.

Defense is going to be the issue. D-Mo can currently easily replace the points of PPat, and in the next year may be able to replace the points of both PPat and D-Mo. Rebounding is what the Rockets really need from D-Mo right now, and, after defense, that certainly is going to be the major gauge of his performance over the next few games. The plus is that D-Mo can easily average 8 rebounds a game right now. Seven foot, highly coordinated and quick. Look for D-Mo offensive rebound tap backs.

Actually he did translated, but some of sentences wrong. Also, if no injuries, D-Mo will play for national team this summer (and event sept 4-21).

is DMO the most hyped non-American player for the Rockets since Yao? (and 2nd of all time?--Jeremy Lin does not count people!) ...dude is getting some serious press and love/expectations on this board and in the Houston media. I think he has a ton of potential but I just hope he doesn't disappoint the fans. I just hope CFs and others give im some time, he's not going to be Dirk right out of the gate.

I've also noticed a few DoFs and DoHs...we shall see

They might still be here if that had been the problem (a relatively easy fix - send them to that shrink White wouldn't see!), but if moving them is what it took for Donatas to get his chance, I'm glad we made the moves. As jtr pointed out, some of us have been eager to see him in the rotation since we acquired the guy. He needed the development in his game that he got in Europe and in the D-League, and he still needs to bulk up a bit, although not so much that he loses that quickness and mobility that's a big part of why he's special. Now we'll see if the patience of the organization pays off. I think it will. He'll have his ups and downs, but in my opinion, he's clearly ready for this level, and ready to take that starting job. Robinson is such a different player that I think when he's gained experience, that pair will be a huge upgrade of our rotation at the 4.

I can't wait for the game!
