For those of you who watched the game, is there ANYWAY to justify why Rice was left in the game to play against the two best offensive players the Knicks had. They either hit shots or they drove right by him EVERY TIME to set up the Knick srubs for wide open jump shots. I could understand Rudy T leaving him leaving him in the game if he was actually doing some thing, Posey had been playing well all game and is a better defender 100% of the time then Rice. I could even understand if the rockets needed offensive help and had to play Rice to hope he can score but that was not the case either. They rockets could score, all they needed were a couple of defensive stops. Thanks Rudy T, you are a PURE GENIUS.

i'm glad you are seeing the same thing i am. it is ****ing frustrating.

i don't expect the rockets to win every game, but i can't ****ing tolerate losses like this that come from brainless Rudy's idiocy.

Why blame Rudy, today Yao made two key turnover. Although I am Yao fan, no way you should blame others.

I think right now Yao must be sorry for his teammate and coach. Today he is the one cost Rox a game.

I agree with you 100%. I thought the rockets played well for the most part. Some costly turnovers but that will happen time to time, players are not perfect. Like you said, I just can't stand losing games when YOU KNOW there was some thing that was obviously wrong in terms of who should have been on the court. Spree and Houston picked us apart because of Rice's no existant D. If they would have done the same to Posey, I don't think anyone would argue that Rice should have been on the court instead. He did nothing in this game to deserve to be on the court, Posey was playing well all game. He had some nice steals, played solid D and he plays well off Yao. Rudy is an idiot with his, "I like to have a leader on the court" B.S. Rice is only good if he is hot, beyond that he is known for complaining time and time again about shots when he was playing for a championship team(Lakers). Some leadership. FIRE RUDY T!!!

Yao was the reason why they were in the game, so what if he made a couple of mistakes, at least they were forced turnovers. Mobley and Francis had a ton of unforced turnovers but I am not even gonna complain about that today because they played like a team today. Players will make mistakes from time to time, if you ask me Rudy T should also be blamed for the bad spacing, when Yao had the game there should have been some one around the area for him to pass to instead of him going one on one. That is some thing you can instruct even as the play is going on.

    Rice had an extremely productive

    His stats reads:

    1-3 for 2pts, 0rbn, 1ast, 1TO in 25 Miinutes!!!

Woohoo, and he played like the entire last quarter! Noticed that when Rice was on during the 2nd and 4th quarter, the Knicks shooting was off the chart!! They had 28 and 32pts in the those two quarter compare to 22 and 20pts in the 1st and 3rd quarter.

Like what other has stated, Rice is only good if he is hot. When he does nothing like tonight, he is not only unproductive, he is a total liability on defence.

    -G'day-

Yao Ming and Steve Francis both made critical turnovers at the end of the game.

You have lost your mind if you think Yoa Ming was the only reason we were even in the game.

And yes our defense was pathetic from about the second quarter on. Perhaps Posey would have made a difference but he would not have prevented the turnovers at the end of the game.

I am very proud of the way Yao is battling but his biggest battle is obviously the fatigue. He looked like he was running on empty at the end of the second quarter and most of the second half.

How about if we blame Rudy for hanging Yao out to dry going 1 on 5 against the Knicks D while the Rockets stand around on the weakside watching?

Well, Rudy is not the one to blame for this one. Too many turn overs in crutial minutes(especially the last 2 by Yao) and Nicks just got really hot the last couple minutes.

Rockets were tired. It wasn't Rudy's fault. He helped us win yesterday's game. Our team was just too tired and crappy. BUT ACTUALLY. Why did he keep Rice in? Maybe Posey was injured.......

well anyways. Good luck next game!!!!

The Wizards beat the Pacers!!! Hopefully we can beat them.

yeah that is hard to understand. You're pretty much leaving him out to dry when you clear out one side and have the 4 other teammates stand on the opposite side. If a player would just flash to the basket from the top or cut through a lane from the other side, Yao could always have the extra option to pass to the cutter.

True, I was just watching NBA fast break on ESPN2. Sabonis is still very good at dribbling, just dribbled around a defender and scored a layup. I hope Yao could be as good as him at dribbling.

When Portland setted Sabonis up at the right low block, and Sabonis looked to pass the ball. Pippen MOVED behind Sabonis's defender, and Sabonis passed the ball immediately to Pippen. Unfortunately, Pippen missed the hook shot. It seems Portland knows how to use Sabonis well even he is not the center of the offense anymore.

I agree. Yao lost us the game, but he also was one of the reasons we were in it.

Why was cat guarding houston so close at the end of the game? He got right up on him every time, and every time he got beat horribly. houston blew right by him, broke down our defense and set up his big men for jumpshots which they drained easily. Why cant we ever do that for Yao? just have him pop to the baseline for easy jumpers all game long. instead, our guards ignore the rolling yao, only to miss heavily contested layups at the rim.

Just watched Portland vs. Atlanta on NBA fast break. Sabonis still has it. Every time Sabonis sets a pick, the guard/forward always pass the ball to Sabonis and let him decide whether to shoot or pass. Portland has a good offensive set or maybe Pippen is still doing great.
