But it just got funny. I like it when an explosion suddenly veers into funny.

A good motivator would've said: " sometimes Jeremy Lin wants to win so bad , he gets careless and commits turnovers. "

A Kevin Mchale would say: " sometimes jeremy lin would rather have 29 points and 9 turnovers and I tell him 'Jeremy we're trying to win'".

The comment does not motivate but rather demoralizes.

No, Doc Rocket posts in ROT13, I post real. So, don't think I'm posting cryptically. Notice my first GARM thread that I started in ages was to praise Lin.

I am heypartner. I love Jeremy Lin.

Not the gamethreads on this site, I'm sure there are those who think Lin is awful or whatever but that's just as ridiculous as those who think he's an amazing player. In reality he's an average young PG who has a decent upside. Sometimes he looks good, sometimes not so good. As long as he isn't a negative force out there on the court most nights and the Rockets keep playing well then I have no problem with him.

But I was positive I hadn't understood a word you had written. Sigh. Maybe it was because I looked at the date you joined, saw it was before 2012, and ignored you. I admit to the error of my ways.

Lin isnt going anywhere. I agree. His graduall improvement from begining of the season to thus far (BE IT HEALTHY NOW OR WHATEVER) is a stark contrast.

I was attending Rockets games when the Dream was on the floor, and the only thing that matters to me is the W. I want all of the Rockets roster to do great. If they do we may yet gather another championship.

And I always ignored you, too. Because you are "JustAGuy"

JustAGuy should not underestimate a conversation with someone greeting you as "heypartner."

    Right?

Good grief. Look at that. I just noticed there are lots of posts from people who joined before 2012. Maybe I should read some of those too.

You can customize training to suit individual player.

However, whatever the reason, one thing for sure you do not customize accountability. And that's fundamental.

i didn't pay much attention on what he said. if it is true, it is absolutely bad and bad and bad and BAD BAD BAD...

the difference btw pop on parker and mchale on lin is when lin did rox won and when parker did spurs lost. i don't understand why mchale said that. did we win? if we had won, i would have had no problem with what he said.

You're probably right; but not all coaches PR word-smiths.

Apparently that's just your won opinion and there are plenty of people disagree with you on that.

When Lin was with the Knicks, the well respected Knicks analyst Alan Hahn commented that Lin is at his best when he does not defer and is at attacking and scoring mode. And our own reporter Jason Friedman also observed the same thus in the interview even asked Lin if he realized that he was most efficient when he first makes some shots for himself to get himself going.

Lin is a natural scoring PG. That's just who he is. He tried to be pure pass-first PG and was not successful at doing that and finally decided to just play his own style, thus Linsanity was born.

Lin said in his recent interview with Jason that he really wants to get all his teammates going before he get himself going, that is to be a pure pass-first PG (thus I don't even understand where the hell does McHale's impression of Lin being selfish at scoring come from if that's true his comment). But to what extent Lin can be effective by suppressing his natural style (leading him to think too much) and scoring instinct, nobody knows. But everyone from the Rockets reporter to Radio hosts to Hoops observers knows that when Lin is aggressive, he can be very good. But does being aggressive mean he aggressively scores himself? It's debatable, but I think so. Lin is at his best when he also looks for his own shots, that gives him confidence and a confident Lin will make him less tentative and make better decisions and that will only benefit the whole team.

If you're a competent coach being paid millions of dollars, the least one can expect is being prudent when speaking in public. He should watch his mouth especially when he's speaking to the media.

That's what I think too. Either that or a sudden split personality? Hmmm

...this thread could easily become like the Rockets Facebook page:(...and I hope not...

...where it isn't worth the energy debating with LOFs...

...They are becoming quite clever though...pretending to believe in objectivity....
