For all his wheeling and dealing, Morey actually has never screwed the team short term with his deadline deals.

Alston for Lowry? Came out positive that season with Brooks emerging
Battier/Brooks for Dragic/Thabeet? Came out positive that season with CBud emerging and Dragic playing decently
Patterson/Morris for Garcia/TRob? I don't see how this is at worst a lateral move for this season. And certainly much higher upside for the future.

Fakers are so pitiful... We don't necessarily need to make the playoffs and feel good about the future and their future is virtually nothing

Just a slight chance @the playoffs

This thread makes me wonder if it isn't time for a magic number thread?

I'll just say it in another thread.

More chance of Warriors or Jazz missing out than Rockets. THOSE are the teams the Lakers are chasing, and not us. We're finishing with 46+ wins. Those teams are in the 43+ category.

What would be worse, LA Lakers missing the playoffs this season? or The "SUPER TEAM" that was the Philadelphia Eagles two years ago choking it hard core?

Utah still has two games against GSW, OKC, and MEM.

Golden State has two left against the Jazz (ofc), us, SAS, and LAL.

The Lakers have games left against basically every Western playoff team or contender.

The Rockets have four games to go with PHO, two with ORL, two with SAC, 1 with WAS... While there's still a lot of volatility in the head-to-head matchups at the bottom of the Western bracket, GSW, Utah and LAL have a much tougher path ahead. That's just a fact of the schedule at this point.
