Imagine how scary OKC would be with Harden still there instead of Westbrook? They'd have 2 of the most dominant/efficient scorers in the NBA.

Harden can do everything Westbrook can but better (besides maybe defend).

They are very different type of players. Westbrook explodes past players, Harden uses his momentum to get past. Westbrook is a better passer and rebounder. Harden has a much higher basketball IQ.

Pound for pound, dollar for dollar HardLin wins.

In 2 years Manu and Tony are gonna watch them and reminisce about when they were that good.

LeBron is no doubt the MVP and MVPs are judged on one month it's clear lebron has been the better player and have swept us this year. As for tht tweet it really isn't that impressive seeing as harden averages 1.5 free throws and 1.3 minutes more than lebron but only .2 more points and while lebron has .2 less more points than harden this month, he is shooting a full 10% better than harden. 30.2 points on .663% > 30.4 565% shooting and it's not even debatable. Either way the entire year lebron has separated himself from durant for MVP.

Anybody who thinks Harden is better than LBJ at this stage is either a huge homer or delusional (most likely both). BTW I like his game a lot and he still has potential to be much better.

I find this hard to say in a season where Kobe and Nash share a backcourt but it's hard to argue with results.

how our backcourt stacks up so far against some of the league best this year
as you can see by the bolded parts, we are at the top or near the top of almost every significant category =)

Great post. I have this table myself but slightly different. I only calculate the starting PGs and SGs.

For example, Manu always come up from the bench, so the Spurs duo numbers are even lower on my table.

Kind of misleading. Pair even a below average PG next to Harden and they will still be the best backcourt, he is that good.

It's not just one game. Harden / Lin has had a number of very big games this season. Lin has gotten better and better. Lin had a better game than Westbrook not just a better 4th quarter.

but that is fair since we are comparing backcourts and on no team are both players "equal" parts...one has strengths in one area (lin is has more assists per game and steals) and other are good at other facets (Harden obviously better scorer, both rebound about the same) so its the best we can do.

The players wouldn't be starting together if teams had better options hence its the only comparison one can make. The exception might be Parker/Ginobili simply because of how G is played but otherwise, its hard to argue they aren't one of the best backcourt, if not the best.
