Does anyone read these comments at the bottom of articles? It's like every post is by bigtexxx, pure racism and bigotry.
Yep they are full of hate and anger. Bunch of p*****s that only grow balls when they are sitting behind the safety of the internets.
Baltimore Sun started using Facebook comments, and I feel that has really reduced the amount of absurdity being submitted. People are less likely to act a fool if they know they're linked to it.
I've never posted anything racist. And I've never posted anything on the Chron.com comments and oh, Spoiler I dominate your thoughts and control your emotions. Spoiler and I laugh about it
On a somewhat related note, I'm really convinced that the really nasty internet trolling you see is a manifestation of mental illness. There's seriously something wrong with people who get a kick out of posting some of the hateful comments you see on facebook memorial pages and things like that. Though maybe that's just me giving assholes the benefit of the doubt.
It's always been that way, but I do notice it seems a lot worse of late. Someone has to work in an obligatory "blame Obama" or "stupid Dems" post in every non-political article. Or if the person in the article has a Hispanic surname "DEPORT HIM! YEHAAWWWW!!!"
