Yao was struggling tonight. First off, he was very slow in every aspect of his game. Secondly, Boston was playing excellent defense on Yao Ming. There were times when the double team would be there even when Yao didnt have the ball. It was obvious that Boston was trying to let the guards beat them. Our guards did just that.

ying, you are right it is the PGs guard to create shots for other people, but when a guy is getting consistantly double and triple teamed, it is almost impossible to get him the ball. If you can't see what the problem was with Yao not getting the ball tonight, then you are either extremely biased against SF and CM, or just don't know basketball. The bottom line is our forwards are horrible on the offensive end of the floor. I saw at least10 times when Ming had 3 guys on him, and they just left Posey and EG all alone, because they know they can't hit a jumper. Instead of JPo it should be JNo!!

Well, when your two back court ballhogs got the shot in, the team can win some games, but not even close to put Rockets into the playoff. Rockets got a win, that's great, but the way they were playin' definitely is not a good formula.

Geez, some of you guys are really annoying me with your

    "God I hate steve"

    "our guards can't play"

    "We suCk"

    "Yao Ming is a god"

    blah blah blah

I counted six times in the first half a guard tried to get Yao the ball, and it was stolen.

I can see how they get a little discouraged.

obviously Rudy learned something from the Mav game by puting yao in a few minutes earlier in the 4th quarter and it paid off.

9 points for 2 shooting, come on. that's 4.5 pts for every shoot.

This game may prove to be the most important win since the championship years.

Steve and Mobes had terrific games today. I am concerned about our forward play, as it was mentioned earlier. The Celtics really showed our weakness when they backed off of Posey and EG to double team Yao in the zone. Yao seems very tired out there too, which doesn't help matters any. It wouldn't surprise me to see the Knicks implement a similar strategy tomorrow.

But Steve and Cat combined 2 TO in the first half, and Yao Ming only 1 TO the whole game. I know you are a magician then......

When your 7'6" playing a soft team and get only 3 rebounds, it may mean something also. Yao was tired and tonight was not his night. The team had 23 assists which is alot for the rockets.

I absolutely think Rockets couldn't succeed without Yao involved right now. You probably forgot how pathetic Rockets played before Yao came here.

It is nice to win this game. In particular, when Utoh and Phoenix are both losing.

    :)

finalsbound, some of these guys would still be whining about our guards if we won the championship, if Yao didn't get 15 shots.

I followed PBP in chat room. Steve, Cat and Yao combined 6 TO the whole game, so where is the Ming-6-TO-First-Half coming from? You tell me !
