Cousins, Thompson, Brooks, Evans, Isaih Thomas, Thorton all shot 60% in the restricted area for Sac.

    Jimmer Ferdette shots 47%.

Thomas will do well in Houston.

Look what Houston did to Greg Smith. An undrafted guy with no real great college credentials aside from his "NBA body". They developed him nicely enough to become a rotation player.

What more could they do with the 5th pick with a great college resume with an equally good "NBA body" and brings a lot more skills and qualities to the table aside from that over used phrase "high motor".

He may not end up being spectacular, but he'll be solid. Could become your rock at 4.

As high as Morey may be with T-Rob, it's still not as high as he is with Royce White.

In his mind Top 5 talent will always be > greater than "mere" top 5 pick.

    this is stupid...

the point is Sacramento sucks at developing rookies.

comparing him to vets is completely pointless.

Almost all big man rookies struggle the first year (even favors)...its harder for them than anyone. If he was on any other team he prob would have got no playing time.

you cannot gauge any big man until his second year... add that with sacs terrible coaching and development...hes done as good as can be expected.

Sometime spent in the dleauge, and working with our coaches...he will improve drastically. He has the the motor and right mindset...he has ridiculous athleticism. The rest of it just takes effort and IQ which he has shown he has both.

No way he is a bust. I called quote me whatever...if he is here or somewhere else he will at least be a solid rotation player better than morris or patterson. Thats my prediction.

Trust Morey's evaluation over ours...he has a better track record.

Robinson is going to be awesome in Houston. He finally has two guys who can get him the ball where he likes it.

Sh******t, Dmo better play some D & rebound or his spot in rotation might be TOOK

Sacramento traded Robinson when he was getting BETTER... During his ROOKIE season.

    SHAME on them.

T-Rob and Greg Smith are similiar players, except Robinson is more athletic. Maybe they will also use him at center.

Cap space may be used for salary matching purposes, the Hawks would get a traded player exception(TPE) for the amount of cap space Houston would send them in a deal that uses it.

    You are just wrong here.

Also wrong, Rockets are under the cap and can immediately flip players if they want.....the problem right now is it would be very difficult to get the trade done and the physicals taken care of before the deadline, so that isnt particularly likely.

    I do agree here.

    and here.

I would advise you to go read over Larry Coon's CBA FAQ before you run around here pretending like you know anything about the NBA CBA, it gets to be a pain for those of us who do know the rules to have to run around correcting the bad information you are spreading.

I thought Jordan Hill was called that by some posters here. ;)

BTW, for all his flaws, Hill is a very good rebounder.

Except we've seen Mook for 2 years and know what he is. We also have much higher ceiling players behind Morris ready to take his minutes, does Sacramento have think that highly of Jason Thompson?

david aldridge says rockets wont trade Thomas Robinson in any deal...that the team loves him.

I believe in him too...guy looks like a better version of Faried coming out of college....and the scouts actually said picture Kenneth Farried with a better offensive game.

The other issue that distinguishes the two situations is that it's inherently different for top-shelf talents. Much like everything else in the NBA, there's stars and there's everything else. Mook was never going to be a star, and honestly, the line between pick #14 and pick #35 is a very thin one. In general, you're looking at role players and it's a crapshoot.

But when you have a top 5 pick with star talent... the rules are very different. As they should be.
