Anyone have good secret tips for parking spots and locations? I have not been to a Rockets game in about 2-3 years, so I'm totally out of touch.

If it helps, I will have to arrive about 40 minutes before gametime for a scheduled meeting with people inside Toyota Center. I'll also be coming from MidTown so I don't need to go on highways.

    Thanks for any help!

If you don't mind walking a couple blocks you can park on the streets for free

40 minutes prior to tip should be easy to find a spot on the street 3 or 4 blocks away

If you are looking to park outside Toyota Center, you should be able to find easily. You have a lot of options. If you want to park so closely Toyota Center, I think it will cost $20. If you are looking for cheap spot, it will cost $5 but you have to walk far to Toyota Center.

Or you can use Tundra parking in the building which costs $20.

    Hope it helps.

I park on the corner of Jefferson and Austin. Very short walk to Toyota Center and quick side street access to 59/288 if you need it after the game. Parking is free after 6 so you should be fine arriving 45 mins before the game.

There is plenty of parking 40 minutes before the game, you won't have any problems finding a good spot at a decent price. Plus it's faster getting out than parking in the garage.

The GRB convention center parking lot is $10. It's pretty close to Toyota Center just down the street. The only problem is sometimes they have it closed to the public but most of the time it's open. I've parked there for years.

Finding a parking meter spot for your first time can be hard. I think you should just pay the 10 bucks to park.

Thanks, I was kind of wondering about this. The last time I parked in a garage near Toyota Center which was great... until it got time to leave and it took FOREVER to get out. And I'm one of those people who stay until the end of the game, so it's good to get street parking tips.

    You own a parking lot?

Almost every street has free parking (after 6)

I come up from Midtown as well... usually park on the street somewhere near the intersection of San Jacinto and Bell. If you're there shortly after 6, you should have options, especially if you come up San Jacinto (parking lane is the left).

i usually pay $5 bucks and pay in the lots. Start driving away from toyota center and just park at the first $5 one you see. You will see the prices change from to 20 to 5..
