Wojnarowski: McHale is someone guys like to play for

NBA legend. Guy who cares for his players. I would play for McHale if I could

McHale singles his players out. If you're the #1 option, you're not held accountable for anything. I would hate to play for McHale. Lowy and Dragic (and probably Lin) all agree.

I kid I think McHale is good coach. He has gotten more out of a team that was just thrown together with only a few players that was on last years team. Everybody but Parson is playing a new role or is on a new team. Way ahead of schedule in my book specailly since I thought they were just a 30 win team. If McHale gets into the 4th-5th seed area I think you can see coach of the year honers

 

Lowry never hated playing for McHale till he got hurt and lost his starting job when he was outplayed by Dragic. Dragic never hated playing for McHale. There is no evidence that Lin hates playing for McHale.

 

Stop talking out of your ass, you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes. All the indications point to our players having lots of respect for McHale.

I hearing how great Houston was and etc. but can't seem to find the part that talks about how players like Mchale and want to play for him. Unless it was really short?

They are fairly predictable, mention anything positive about McHale, or anything positive about Harden's ball handling and they pounce since they blame those two for Lin not being the center of attention all the time.

I always wondered if Mchale more resembled Bill fitch or kc jones in his coaching ways. Bird once said Fitch was his best coach.

mchale seems like a cool guy, i see him as more of a motivational type coach and not the X's and O's guy. although he has been around the league his whole life, and has seen a lot of basket ball in his day. he is definitely that old school coach that will call players out etc. the celtics were a family and i think he is treating the rockets as such.
